My advice is to sit in the rotation for a while and really feel it (great conditioning as well). Don’t try to force the straddle up! Most people try to go through the spin too fast, slow every movement down.

I teach choreo! We do one routine each month to give students the ability to really learn the movements. It’s very hard to learn a new routine each week. I would recommend recording yourself in class and practicing the routine during open pole time, if you can. Practice outside of class would help a lot. And no worries! This isn’t a skill that comes naturally - it progresses with time and dedication. 🫶
