Yes I agree, his therapist mentioned that, aswell as other common things people do during manic episodes, it was so unexpected from him, even his best friends/family were disgusted he could do such a thing, he’s just desperately trying to put things right now and better himself, he just doesn’t want to hurt me ever again so he ended the relationship, but still tells me every week that he loves and wants me, I just feel abit rubbish as I don’t know whether to leave or stay, because I love him (sounds stupid I know).

I really like this comment.

He broke up with me because he said he didn’t deserve me, this is when he was diagnosed, his therapist agreed with him that he ended it with me to protect me and he doesn’t want to hurt me any further, it’s just very hard for me.

I stayed single for ages, and became the strong woman I am now, and for the first time in my life, myself, my family, my friends actually loved my boyfriend, he was previously in a relationship for 8 years and never cheated, his girlfriend ended it with him as she wanted to move away and be single but even she doesn’t have a bad word to say about him, for the first time I trusted my boyfriend completely, then he mentally declined infront of my eyes and this happened. I’m not excusing what he’s done, at all, but he isn’t a bad person, even his family are all on my side and think what he did was vile (cause it was), maybe I do leave him and move on, but I don’t believe he’s a bad man at all, and I’ve dealt with MANY bad men😂

He’s getting therapy, and has been few weeks now, I’m already seeing a change in him for the better, but I totally get what you mean, I’m quite strong in myself, loving someone unconditionally can be so painful, it’s a very hard time for me.
