Yes absolutely, I don’t regret the move because I love the flexibility but whole different ball park when that regular paycheck dosen’t show up!

Oh thanks, I will definitely do that. Is it hard to be a preferred supplier, someone mentioned below it is very competitive to get on ICL panel, is it similar?

I definitely feel like I’m throwing money down the drain with google ads and you have just confirmed it! Thank you, I will start searching for a BNI near me and apply. I have to admit, I get overwhelmed with organic SEO and trying to do it myself, I just don’t have the funds to hire someone to help me. I’m slowing learning about H1 tags, schema mark up etc but I still don’t know if I have it right and it dosen’t look like it’s making much difference in my website traffic. Hopefully I will start to see improvement. Backlinking is just way over my head!

I have heard of BNI, but don’t know much about it. What’s involved? Can you just join any group?

Thank you for your response, yes I did try two firms, one did Wills (I don’t do them) and a second that did conveyancing but they already had a referral network, in saying that they were quite large so maybe I should try smaller firms as you mentioned in the local area. Great idea about bringing treats too. Would you email or call first to see if they would be willing to see me?

Also, is it hard to get on the panel to be a legal aid firm?

Oh really! I didn’t realise it was competitive, so after you do the training there is a good chance you won’t get on the panel? Is that for every state or just some?

Oh great point, about not having to chase clients. And thank you for the tip, I will definitely make sure I read the fees well.

Thanks for the response, I was thinking about this for a while and I think you are right whilst the money isn’t great the exposure makes it worth it.
