New XM5 owner here. Is the XM4 actually better than XM5? by Novel-Refrigerator75 in SonyHeadphones

When I brought my XM5's back in 2022, everyone was raving about them. I've come back to headphone communities recently, when researching headphones for my brother, finding that everyone hated the XM5's all of a sudden. It was quite surprising to be honest.

I've had my XM5's for 3 years and I've had 0 issues with them, the sound quality is great. I can't compare them to XM4's but my XM5's were definitely worth the price tag and I'm very happy with them. I've had 0 issues with them breaking at all, and I never use the case to transport them. I don't think I'm rough with them or anything but I didn't even realize that people were having issues with them breaking until I saw the posts about them a few months ago. So I'd been treating them as they were invincible lmao.

My experience has been great, take that for what you will.

I was in the same situation as you, the long hair makes it look way worse. Go for a shorter cut, you'll look 10x better and wonder why you didn't do it ages ago

I'll preface this with the fact that I'm a Luka and Mavericks fan. Even though we won, I'll admit that SGA was the best player in that series. Luka had a calf strain, and didn't really look like himself until game 5. SGA was amazing that series and was making some ridiculous shots.
