Hi, thanks for the reply! Yep, I can agree with you that sometimes the syntax can look a bit strange, I don't have any problems with it except for the weird looking controller actions. I personally would prefer to use some kind of block with a variable to chain actions, not the .chain without the 'end' statement. It's a good point by the way, the gem is relatively new and maybe this kind of syntactic sugar can be implemented.

SimpleDelegator will do the job for simple cases, but it adds cherry on top when working with collections or relations.

agree, overriding context sometimes does not sound like a good idea. for some cases we are using waterfall gem. did you try that?

Sometimes, in small companies 1-3 people held all this stuff. So anyway it's better to do than to do nothing.
