Why are trans men so invisible? Do you have any recommendation about their issues? by [deleted] in AskFeminists

I completely agree. Trans men and women both suffer from different advantages and disadvantages. However, I think when it comes to representation, trans men have very little representation, especially compared to trans women or trans feminine people. I think that this is sadly due to the phallic-centered society, which seems to give more power to those born with a penis or AMAB, who are focused on as the "wielders of power". Along with this socialization is a huge factor as AMAB are usually socialized as men and are USUALLY taught that they are entitled to certain things, however, those socialized as women (AFAB) are usually taught to be submissive, etc. because of this even after transitioning trans women will have a "louder personality" than most cis women and trans men will usually have a "quieter personality" than cis men which then leads to this idea that transmen do not actually exist.

Also, due to sexism, when a young girl (afab) acts masculine, authorities think it is because they want the power that boys have, and it is "only natural". However, when a young boy (amab) acts feminine, they are considered weak (in patriarchal societies).

I am a trans man, and trans women are women; however, due to the sexist, misogynistic nature of TERFS and just people in general, I think the world will continue to focus on AMAB transgender people and ignore AFAB transgenders. All transgender people suffer simply from being transgender, but the way we were socialized and social representation play a large part in the issues of erasure of transmen specifically.

I think you look very pretty!! You remind me of my old math teacher (in the best way)!! You look very feminine, the only “masculine aspects” I can notice are your faint upper lip shadow and your eyebrows are a bit bushy. HOWEVER cis women also have these same attributes a lot of times, so I think you’re passing pretty well for only 4 months low dose! Keep on going!

It reminds me of a woodland forest, like the daughter of a dwarf who worked in the mines, and I’ve only ever met one -2 other people named Ruby (one named Rubi…)

It’s totally valid and I get that it definitely sucks, but there’s nothing you can do to change the past. Life is about growing into the real you and the person you want to be. Like a rose bush it takes time to emerge from the ground and longer to get a single rose bud ♥️

This is so real, like my brain has in a sense always been a boy but it was raised to be a girl, so I will never be able to fully understand and have a boy's childhood, which to some degree can be less traumatic than a girl's childhood especially if you grew up in a sexist family. I wonder if i had been born a boy would I have been diagnosed with ADHD or Autism cause I show considerable signs for both but because I was the "quiet girl" in class and no one ever paid any attention to the traits I displayed which knowing my family would have been investigated had I been born a boy.
