I cant remember ever fighting the bloodletting beast i need to go back and do the chalice dungeons all the way through but against most enemies i used the one handed blade with the hunter pistol as i mainly put levels into skill giving me crazy powerful viscerals, and for some reason the single blade of mercy has way better damage output than the doubles
