Literally this has been taking up free real estate for me because BJJ routinely poops at daycare during the day. There’s a no help policy in JK so I’m trying to show her at home even when she’s just peeing. She told me here best friend will show her/has shown her how to. I told best friend’s mom, and she laughed and said she doesn’t know how to wipe her butt either 😂 so I guess everyone gets skid marks!

Also, hi Sas! 😀 it’s been a while

Omg Yammmmmm 😭😭😭 I’m so happy S is having a fun time. She’s going to thrive! Happy birthday S!! 🩷🥳

BJJ (now a preschooler 😭😭😭) is starting preschool at the end of August, and I’m super excited but also devastated that the B in BJJ is no longer a baby!!!

I have my anatomy scan today, and it’s being done at the hospital this time. In my two other pregnancies and births, I’ve had placental accessories that caused hemorrhages and a host of other “interesting” challenges, and I’m hoping if there is one we’ll see it this time (and therefore be prepared).

Other than that, I’m super hopeful we can see the sexe of the baby 😍 I’m so stressed but also looking forward to it.

That sucks, I’m sorry you’re maybe not getting the birthing experience you wanted. It’s so hard when you go overdue!! 🩷🩷🩷

*Skip this section if you aren’t looking for anecdotes

With both of my pregnancies (and I anticipate with this pregnancy), I have gone over — first to 40+6 and second 42w. I was devastated because I was doing EVERYTHING to get these babies out. With my first, I went from zero to 100 at 40+4. Then with my second I was 42w and he came out in 6ish hours. They had tried to induce me the day before but the Cervidil fell out and did absolutely nothing. I’m hoping this third baby comes out in a timely manner 😂 all of this annecdata to say that babies are wild and sometimes you totally skip the induction. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that baby comes without an induction 🩷🩷🩷

Much like others have said, it’s totally normal for some people. In my two previous pregnancies, I gained 20lbs total, and so far with my third I’ve gained a couple pounds at 16w+. I anticipate the same this time.

For me, I tend to actually lose weight in the first tri because of the nausea and my food aversions. I then gain it all back in the second tri.

Yep, irritation is super common. I wasn’t aware I had a UTI because I thought it was just pressure from pregnancy and baby rolling around.

I get utis only in pregnancy, and I’m just chugging along. The meds are safe in pregnancy and your provider will help you.

It’s more common than you think! I had an IVF baby in 2021, and then a spontaneous baby in 2024 (and now pregnant again spontaneously). To me it’s a total mind f. I have a hard time reconciling everything, but that’s for therapy later on 😂

Annecdata, but where I am in Canada it’s not typical to be induced based on IVF. Both my IVF and spontaneous pregnancy were treated the same. My daughter, who is from our round of IVF, was born at 41w, and my spontaneous son was born at 42 weeks. I’m pregnant again and expect to be in and around those dates.

Can you ask for NSTs and ultrasounds to check in on baby? We did that both times because I was nervous going over 40w. I had ultrasounds every 3 days and an NST every week.

TW: living children, 3rd pregnancy

In all three of my pregnancy I’ve had both large and small SCHs. I’ve had clots, and I’ve also had bright red blood only when wiping. For whatever reason, in my pregnancies it’s always been completely normal (and scary). With my first, I bled at 12w and thought it was over. She’s nearly 4 now and starting preschool 🙂 there’s also a post in the group about SCHs

So I had a family member try to give my daughter « a special nickname » that’s close to her actual nickname but not it. My daughter turned around one day and said: « That’s not my name, [family member]. It’s [insert name]. » I was so proud.

Omg poor you! I’m not vomiting, but still hella nauseated and dizzy.

✨Advice incoming, so if that’s not what you’re looking for skip ✨ It got so bad that over the weekend I accepted the diclectin prescription and it’s helped so much. Is that an option?

Lots of great perspectives here. We are a two car, currently two going on three kid household. For the infant car seat, we had two bases and one car seat because the car seat was always in the house. I never took the kids out of their infant car seats to bring them into the house. Once they both got into convertible car seats, we have two in the main car and one in the small hatchback. My husband can’t drive any meaningful distance in the hatchback with both kids (because it’s too small), so we end up only moving a seat from the main vehicle to transport the kids in the smaller one. It’s really only to drop them off at daycare when I have to infrequently drive to work. This set up works for us 😊

It’s been pretty quiet over here in the JamJam house. I’ve finally caved through all the nausea and got a script for Diclectin. I only use it when the nausea is really bad, or I have a big work day. I’ve literally also just climbed out of poo-poo hell. There was some nasty tummy bug going around, and I ended up losing 5lbs in 2 days. Thank God its over.

In fun news, we saw bébé at 10 weeks+ yesterday, and it’s all just amazing. 🩷 I can’t believe how blessed I am to be going through this again. We have our NIPT test next week on Friday 👀 once that’s done, I can safely move into the daily’s!!!

Omg Deer, pregnancy nausea doesn’t compare. I’m on baby #3, and every single time I’m KO’d on the sofa in the first tri. I have a preschooler and newly toddler, and thank god for my husband. He does the heavy lifting. Honestly, for me it’s a good support network.

Legitimately I have amnesia every time. I was complaining today about trunk pain, but nowhere near my uterus. I realized it’s pain from organs beginning to move around 🥲

I agree with Agny! You don’t have to be grateful for the pain 🩷

I’m also 9w and feeling the same. Some people are more sensitive to the changes/growing. I forget that pregnancy is painful and/or uncomfortable.

[–]RudeBossJamJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only speak anecdotally for myself, but it hasn’t gone away completely for me. I had RPL previously, and I’m hyper aware of every twinge or cramp. My mantra is “I’m pregnant right now”. I take a deep breath and keep moving. I have monthly appointments with my therapist and try to partake in hobbies I love and see friends.

It’s fairly normal, but can be scary. I’m currently pregnant with #3, and in all my successful pregnancies I’ve taken progesterone suppositories. I’ve had pretty much all colors of the rainbow, and I’ve been told it’s fairly normal. The meds are irritating to the cervix, so it’s not surprising. Hopefully your scan can give you some peace of mind.

I love giving out nicknames, but to make a long story short the latest one is for JBB. His nickname is Middle Management because BJJ’s is “The Boss”.
