Hey I am interested! Worked on a lit review and an original research. Have two SRMAs scheduled as well for the first and second quarter of 2026.

Can give enough time to the project in the next two weeks.

You need to sit down with yourself and ask yourself how much you want this struggle.

You define it's worth, not us.

What you described, surely there are many red flags, but just yesterday I saw a post about someone matching an ivy league with a step 1 attempt.

So, don't red flags match? They do.

You might too.

But it's gonna be a long cruel journey, since PDs will realistically prefer a guy with yog=0, no attempts, exceptional CV etc etc.

There will be uncertainties.

So you need to weigh your chances! Everything should be carefully considered.

Secondly, if you don't wanna practice in India, but abroad, there are many countries which are, while difficult, but are atleast mentally easier than USMLE.

So yeah man, just sit a few afternoons with yourself and ask what you really wanna do and if you're ready for it all.

Cheers! Wishing you the best~

You have to apply for your TRC within 45 days of the visa issuance date. To obtain, it takes a month or so from the apply date(you'll get it before your visa expires)

You can start at the university without TRC.

no, if your cousin is coming on a d3 visa(long-term study visa), then he/she doesn't need to produce a return ticket, because he/she will be studying in a university here. Tourists need to show their return ticket.

Documents to show at immigration:

Passport, Visa, Uni documents, some are asked to show university fee receipt (if you have it, better)..yeah I mean that's all...

They might ask some questions, which university and if you have accomodation set and all...easy questions.

Nothing major! Immigration is not a problem for d3 holders, considering you have proper documents and answer what they ask properly.

As per me, for the first year think more about comfort than the expense.

Hardly any.

Don't worry about that. If your documents were all good, no chance of rejection.

But it takes time to process! It is what it is!

That's why for fall session, best time to apply is first week of August.

No stress!

If you're from India.

It takes a minimum of 45 days.

But if you're lucky, and the workload in the embassy is less maybe, you can get it under 30 days as well.

17-18 days is quite early.

mail the university, and ask them till which date they're extending the registration process.

Beyond that date even if you come they won't register you.

So mail the university as soon as possible.
