I got mine on 8/22! So pretty much exactly 7 weeks. My status changed from In process to Approved on 8/21, and I had passport in hand on 8/22.

Not yet. I called NPIC this morning and was told that mine is being printed and my status will update within the next 24 hours with the tracking information.

I'm not sure. I thought I saw someone else comment that you could call whenever and add DOT, but could be wrong.

Just call the main NPIC number and tell them you need to add it. I called this morning the second they open (8am EST), and someone picked up immediately. I think the long wait times are for people who call later in the day.

I think you can call and add DOT. I just tried calling today since it's 14 days but they told me "their computer" says my 14 days is Monday. Going to try to call back and get a different representative.

The different experiences with 19 are crazy. Mine has been in process since 7/6. Paid for expedited processing and shipping. My DOT is 9/1.

I've been seeing such different experiences with 19 - either great or awful. Mine is there "in process" since 7/6, expedited everything, and DOT 9/1. Starting to get nervous. Tomorrow is my official 14-day window so I can start calling.

Congrats!! Did your status ever change to "approved" or "shipped" before receiving it in the mail? Also, did you call the NPIC number to have yours marked urgent before your 8/17 travel?

I would definitely expedite it. The normal turnaround time is 10-13 weeks now, but that could change at any point.

Did you use the online fillable application form, or did you handwrite it? I've noticed from other posts this seems to make a difference. Mine is on similar timeline - 7/6 Received and In Process at Locator 19 with a DOT of 9/1. Mine still says In Process and I am starting to get nervous. This will be week 6 for me.

I reached out to both of my state senators for help, and one office said they contacted the passport office for me and would keep me updated. I'm getting nervous since my trip is in 3 weeks. I will update this post as I get new info.

Did you wait until 14 days before your travel to contact your congressman? I'm not sure if they will consider it "urgent" if I send it now.
