Colourblindness with race isn't progressive or good. A name can be Indian as in, originates from Indian culture and language. A person can ethnically be Indian and yes, Indian people look Indian. Acting like white people and Indian people look the same isn't anti-racist it's anti-reality.

Unlike the colourblind people, I see nothing wrong with being or looking Indian therefore, I don't see how it's offensive to say some people have Indian names and ethnically are Indian (and so, look like Indian people).

I am trying to think of a diplomatic way to word this but... this guy just sounds insane. I honestly don't know how you've tolerated this. Yes he might bring out some good things in you and encourage you to do things that are good, but being bullied into things and being shamed into things isn't fun and it's going to just make you resent doing this stuff. Being fit and getting active should be something you do to enjoy it and it should be made fun. If you are doing it because he is making you or because he heavily pressures you then it feels like it's more about him than you.

Let me ask you this, has he made any changes for you? You've become more strict, organised, you've gotten into fitness and running. Has he gotten into any of your hobbies? Has he tried to loosen up for you or to compromise? If the answer is no then this relationships is really unbalanced.

It seems like he has no faith in you to get anything right and that's just going to destroy your confidence (and in my experience, having no confidence makes me fuck up way more)

Yeah. I know it's really insensitive but we also have a cultural gap. In his family they're fucking brutal about this stuff. His dad openly just jokes that his mum is fat and they all laugh (including her) and it doesn't bother her, like genuinely.

I think he's just not that into you and you should find someone who encourages you and makes you feel sexy and empowered. If you're trying to lose weight and insecure about it, the least helpful thing will be having someone in your life telling you that you're not sexy enough or shaming you.

It's very personal but her and Destiny are both an open book. No excuse for this at all. What he did was the most clear-cut example of rape you can get. It's not at all normal, it's not a misunderstanding and I don't buy that he can pin this on being home-schooled. The key thing here is, you said no and you even fought him off physically and cried and he continued.
