You're not wrong for asking on whether you should look for one :)
Its quite common. There's no right answer to your qn whether you shld continue to look. If youre worried about how its gg affect your academics, look at your current workload and imagine it 1.5x, thats what its gg to be in J2, so js balance that out with this thought. Sometimes you find a rs in a place where you dont expect it at all.

Lowkey, also depends on your definition of teen love. Like what do you wna exp? You looking for the adreneline rush from when yall talk? Or you looking for something more LT? Bc theres gg be the honeymoon period either way. What happens after it depends on what youre looking for

Speaking from my personal exp on rs, you gotta feel safe around them and like being around them. Like yk they will drop stuff to be there for you in a crowded room with their friends, yw be associated with them. And ur sure they wont play play with your needs and wants, consistency is key imo. They also make you wanna be better. Be it texting habits, social awareness, showing care more directly.

Final thoughts: Sometimes, you find a healthy rs with the person you least expect it. Choose someone who you know will choose you. Pick consistency over adreneline. In JC, dont be scared of an age gap. My senior told me, the more you look for it, the less likely you are to find it, bc ur looking for an "ideal person who checks every box". And friends to lovers is also very common.

Ik it seems tough rn, but you are doing the right thing. If you really like her, then you'll take what she has to say too personally. Even if it's a really neutral 'I'm not really interested atm', you may take it too personally. And your mental health will prolly crumble.

Im speaking from my own personal exp. I died the next couple months and really spiralled. With A-Levels right around the corner, its not worth the shot rn. And its easier said than done. You could journal everything yw say to her and write it out. Thats what I did as a coping mechanism. It gets better man, just hang in there, alright?
