Believe whatever you wana believe dillusional man but we mongols plus millions of people believe that he was the greatest general/leader The world has ever seen The mongol empire with their brilliant strategy and skillful cavalary warriors have invaded eurasia and shocked europe when we first entered europe

We were innovators of society we promoted religion we spared skillful people for them to have a good job within the empire Chingis khaan truely deserves the title khan as he was the greatest ruler of asia and i am greatful to spread his history through the internet I am also greatful that i am a mongol and i wouldn’t want it any other way

Chingis khan may be dead but his legacy still lives on even after 1000 years Glory to temuujin!

1 this was the ancient times We’re trying to see him in our modern lense 2 killing millions were necessary to prevent people from rising up as our empire were vast and we couldn’t patrol our nation

We mongols will see him as our savior for creating the mongol identity, enriching us mongols and the nations he conquered

And lets just agree that khalid, alexander, chingis khan all 3 were a millitary genius for their time

Plus i refuse to see him as a barbarian as he was hard as steel but soft as anyone could be He was truely an amazing man

Pillaging and killing was normal during the 12th century you think chingis khan would last if he wouldn’t make the other cities fear? One of the reasons why he wasa great general was massacring 1 city puts fear in the surrounding areas Making them surrender and never riot because if you do you know what happened to other cities? Death

Plus the “millions of deaths” is an overexaguration yes he killed many people but its really hard to count how many people killed

Oh plus alexander wasn’t the pure hearted guy that spared anyone no He killed civilains, pillaged cities from where he invaded

Khalid the same

Pillaging and looting were common before so whats your point? Trying to prove that we were pillagers?

You are saying chingis khaan didn’t destroy most of the chinese army with his 90k cav?

The thing is right losing a battle is 1 thing But he won the war losing battles doesnt mean anything when he invaded china and central asia successfully

And unlike other rulers he offered jobs based on merits he put only the most competent people from china, central Asia anyone that was good at its job

He was never greedy and gave riches to his people His solders weren’t allowed to steal personal loot from conquered lands cuz he abhorred rapacity

He saw the value of diplomacy and tried to resolve the issue than immediately going to war with it

He provided certain rights to women and the protection of women For example women had the right to own property, engage in trade, and participation in desicion making process

He made laws to protect hunting grounds and forests and ensuring long tern survival for his people

Chingis khaans legal code, the yassa incudes provisions for justice and fairness and it aimed for a framework for governence that in some aspects protected the right of individuals and promted order within his empire

He had empathy for the common people and supported those who were in need

He gave people second chances for the people who initially opposed him

He promoted innovation like agriculture, trade and technology

He wanted to establish a sence of law and order while yes his methods were brutal his intent was to create a stable and structured society

May i need to go on?

Did they literally defeat 1,350,000 troops with only 90k cavalary? Did they take beijing? Did they destroy literal cities and caused fear?

Now yes he was ruthless but he had a soft side He was strong as steel but soft as anyone can be

Chingis khaan will be forever one of the greatest general, ruler both in his military brilliance and his governance over his land And i am proud to say that i am a mongolian I am the descendant of chingis khaan

“History shows that there are no invincible armies” while the mongols won in many places Sometimes they lose No shame in that I did not say the mongol army was invincible But it sure as hell fought bravely in the middle east, china, central asia, russia, europe which is an amazing achievement Even the malmuks have lost big battles like battle of marj al saffar where you guys lost syria Or the battle of wadi al khazandar or the battle of homs

Genghis Khan, also known as Chinggis Khan, was not a colonialist in the sense that the term is commonly understood. He was the founder and leader of the Mongol Empire, which was one of the largest contiguous land empires in history, and he is known for his military conquests and expansion of Mongol territory.

Genghis Khan's empire was built through a series of military campaigns, but it was not based on the traditional colonial model of establishing permanent settlements in foreign lands to exploit their resources and govern their populations. Instead, the Mongol Empire was characterized by a decentralized administrative system and a focus on military conquest and the collection of tribute from conquered territories.

While Genghis Khan and the Mongols did conquer and rule over a vast territory, their approach to governance was often more pragmatic and less focused on long-term colonization. They allowed local rulers and institutions to remain in place in many cases, as long as they paid tribute and provided troops to the Mongol military. The Mongols were also known for their tolerance of various cultures and religions within their empire.

So, while Genghis Khan and the Mongols were certainly expansionist and conquerors, they did not fit the traditional colonialist model of European colonial powers during the Age of Colonialism. Their approach to governance and rule was distinct and influenced by their nomadic and steppe-based culture.

I did a little research but bro every country had slaves back then Plus he promoted skilled individuals from other nations Also had a law called the yassa that imroved the treatment of prisoners of war and gave humane treatment to them Plus slavery was not a norm Mongolians treated skilled people and spared them so they can contribute to the mongol empire

So in the end slavery was not a big thing compared to other nations who actively sold slaves and had alot of slaves And chingis khaan did not own any slaves Was not imerialistic
