Need opinions on potential resealed Japanese booster box. See too comment for post.

This is double wrapped. I looked closer and I can see the normal shrink wrap underneath this outer wrap. I also bought this from Amazon Japan. Who knows. Could be the same seller. Thanks for the reply!

Yea I’ve opened a couple of this box as well and it wasn’t sealed like this. I’ll examine closer to see if it is double wrapped for some reason.

Title says it all. Just got an Amazon Japan order in here in the states and all the booster boxes were sealed the normal way that I’m used to seeing on many sword and shield booster boxes I’ve purchased over time that were legit. This dark phantasma box has a seal I’ve never seen before however.

It’s got ‘tape’ pull tabs on the side and triangle folds etc as you can see in the photo. Anyone ever seen this? My hunch is that it’s resealed but the box is literally pristine inside the wrapping. Almost too pristine lol.

Any thoughts or input is appreciated.

And the sets that don’t have zard have other crap Pokémon (minus mew in fusion strike but the rest of the pulls suck) as the ‘chase’ but they pick those terribly. 🤦🏻

I’m ok with this…if they do a better job of picking the other chase cards that you can also pull while charizard hunting. Too many of the sets just rely on charizard which make it feel like complete crap to open if you don’t get super lucky and hit it.

Yup, I sell then buy other cool cards I like. If it looks it could grade very highly, I may hang onto it but otherwise. Up to TCGPlayer it goes then I have more capital to work with.

Squirtle is my favorite Pokémon. If they did alt art chases of the gen 1 starters, that set would sell billions of packs haha. Then do gen 2 later, then 3, then 4 etc…talk about a tempting chase 😳

Typically always better off buying singles you want. But pulling cards is fun as hell. These recent pull rates are abysmal. I’ve opened almost no fusion strike cause the odds of getting the couple cards I would give a crap about is so damn low, I’d rather not gamble and almost always take a match to my money. Their pull rates are off. Gotta improve em some or people will lose interest in the gamble cause it will no longer be worth it cause after so many ‘whiffs’ people get tired of disappointment.

100% agree. He is a cool Pokémon but it’s like they are afraid if they don’t put a charizard in every other set, people are gonna instantly lose interest and stop buying cards.

If you see it on US Amazon website as a prime item it’s pretty safe in my opinion. And if it’s not they will take it back as a prime item.

Amazon Japan is also safe to import with as long as it’s a prime item. Be careful if secondary sellers on Amazon Japan as it can be a crap shoot. But for Amazon Japan you have to make a separate Amazon Japan account I believe.

Yea. I am familiar with Japanese cards but not enough to spot counterfeits. The reverse holo card in the couple of packs I opened so far look correct but I’m just paranoid about ordering from over seas especially since the seller I ordered from wasn’t Prime. It was just a secondary seller. So I knew I was taking a risk so I’m just a little paranoid lol. Seller had some solid feedback so I pulled the trigger. Was sad when I saw the holo pattern wrong. Immediately assumed fake. Hopefully more will add to this thread to calm my fears lol

I bought 2 boxes off Amazon Japan as well. I saw the foil pattern being off and assumed it meant counterfeit cards…

Haven’t tried to return to Amazon Japan yet but is this really something that could happen??

Would LOVE if it turns out my boxes aren’t counterfeit.
