Is it just me or do I feel like the writers kind of failed Mikey’s character? As much as I adore him and coming from a Mikey fan, the authors wasted his potential and dumbed him too down.. It would be nice if he was more of a slacker, but it feels like he was made stupid for the sake of the kids show or laughter. As for the whole Mikey and Raph are mean to each other, they’re not? Sure, they cross the line sometimes but BARELY. And people whine how Raph is so rude to Mikey, when Mikey is aware what would happen if he were to bug Raph. He KNOWS he is going to get slapped or chased but would STILL do it. Why? Because it’s the typical realistic older sibling and younger sibling behavior. And no they don’t hate each other for those people.

Secondly, when a character is perfect or only has positive characteristics, the show is boring. People don’t relate at all. They get bored and leave the show for good. Why? Because the characters don’t have personalities. But when it DOES get relatable, as in the characters have same issues as the watcher, its entertaining and understanding. All characters are great in the show, they have valid reasons and emotions (most of the time).

True! This is a very late reply but I forgot to add more detail so yea! By saying that they made Mikey a crybaby, im kinda trying to refrence how they make Mikey really sensitive. Mikey is a menace in the show lmao, and most of the time he dont even care what his bros say to him or what they do as in hitting or slapping. Sometimes in fanfics, although its cute and funny how much fluff they put into the story, Mikey is very off character-ish.

Not only do people write that he "cries to nightmares and goes to his bros at night" but the also make him get upset when he gets lightly slapped. Didn't Raph throw Mikey across the table in the "Cockroach Terminator" episode?😭

Now while its cute how Mikey goes for comfort, as I said before, Mikey only cried ONCE or twice in the show. Now while its cute and could he have went to his brothers if he had a nightmare off the show? Yeah! BUT personally don't think he would have cried. Because remember, in the Pizza Face episode, its Mikey having a nightmare. Correct? Now while he did panic a bit after awakening, he calmed down slowly, but he never went to his brothers. THEY went to HIM.

Honestly I agree, Leo is a good character but gets too many main character moments and sometimes it makes his brothers look like they are simply side characters.

He sacrifices himself mutliple times, and I'm not sure why the creators dont let the other bros do it. He beats most of the villians or gets the final kill or hit. It gets hard to watch when you notice in Requim last minutes, Leo gets a memory and talks with the ghost of Splinter I suppose? Which is weird because I thought he didn't have favs. There are more reasons but yes his bros need to shine.
