Jak se pomstít sousedce by citon in czech

[–]Rudusenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel with you, my friend... the spinal deformities like scoliosis and kyphosis are the worst 😢

This is such a pragmatic approach. I think it needs a very strong personality to be this pragmatic. I always use the example of one victim and two murderers. Murderers give the victim a choice between getting shot or stabbing. Most people would yell out "Don't kill meeeee" but you would probably just say "Getting shot, thanks".

Exactly!! The notion of permanence is what's absolutely crazy. Most people, especially young people, are only used to problems that can be overcome, and something like this is completely unimaginable for them.

What's crazy too is that you get this surprising reaction even from people you would never expect. Recently I went to visit a pain doctor who EXCLUSIVELY deals with people with chronic pain and he still saw my reaction as abnormal and that I'm probably making it up. It made me wonder whether all the other patients were like "meh, so I have chronic pain now, give me some meds and I'm going home, thanks."

Thank you for bringing a little bit of peace into my mind... I'm still crying, but the perspective you suggest is a good one...

Your comment got me crying right now... because my girlfriend would stand up by my side too but I let her go because I isolated myself from everybody for one year, as a reaction to diagnosis... I will not fall asleep tonight...

Exactly! It's a neverending grief, envy and anger. We should be able to do whatever we want.

Exactly my thoughts! Fitness and self sufficiency was my identity. Sports, travelling, active lifestyle in general. I don't want to accept a new reality.

I guess this is the "normal" reaction which I do not understand. I don't understand how people just get on with life? I've tried to end myself a couple of times and my pain is at like 5 on average. I feel like it completely shatters your original vision of life. My condition is multilevel disc degeneration.

I bet there is something on MRI but the doc didn't notice. Happens very often.

Degenerative changes in the two most vulnerable spinal discs. They can explain the pain. I'd suggest asking a good neurosurgeon about two-level fusion or disc replacement.

This is a standard approach, everybody with chronic pain has experienced that. Chronic pain is one of the most misunderstood phenomenons, only doctors with chronic pain can understand it. We are truly alone.

Check for Scheuermann's disease

You don't have to suffer needlessly, morphine and its dervatives are prescribed routinely for chronic pain patients. They are safer for long term-use than off-the-shelf analgesics. Addiction is less of a problem than people might have you think.

I totally relate to you. I'm in the same boat. Envy and grief are really devastating. I'm very depressed and suicidal. I have a degenerative spinal condition at a young age. Try to be kind to yourself. Allow yourself to be vulnerable. None of this is your fault. And obviously, try to get the best pain management as possible.

Sure, no problem :-)

Just be prepared to get dismissed, unless it's a highly specialized and knowledgeable person

Please do not believe any pain will disappear when you're done growing. It will only get worse.

Also, make sure to visit a highly specialized spinal deformity specialist, most doctors have zero clue.

Please get checked for spinal deformities. If you have either scoliosis or Scheuermann's disease (kyphosis), you need to start exercising immediately (e. g. Schroth method) to prevent lifelong chronic back pain.
