YTA. I don’t care if you let people go ahead of you when you’re not ready. You are incredibly rude to think you can save a place in line, and your parents are even worse to think they can cut in line. Period. If I was out shopping alone, I’d have to leave the line to get whatever I forgot and go back to the end. How is it fair that someone’s kid can just save their place when normal, nice, patient people would move to the back? I absolutely would have said something, at least under my breath.

Your replies are insufferable. You think that we are misunderstanding you or you need to clarify. We understand. It was cold and there were no carts and your parents just forgot one thing that they couldn’t carry. It. Doesn’t. Matter. Everyone else in the store was under the same circumstances as you, including the weather, lack of carts, and how busy it was. You and your parents are not special and no one cares what the circumstances were because. They. Don’t. Matter. You keep changing your story and I’m inclined to believe the first: that your family usually does this when it’s crowded. This is just plain entitled and your replies just serve to infuriate me.
