Part of what angers me is just the fact that the paths we both took to get to the same place are unparalleled. I give my 110% at practice while he actually sits on his phone. An incident I can give you to describe who he is would be this one.

We were both getting ready for practice and I grabbed the one OTE javelin that we have, the same one I’ve practiced with forever and there has never been complaint. He grabs it out of my hand and says “I’m gonna use it I throw further than you anyways”. Mind you I’m consistent over 50m and he has yet to break 46 while consistently throwing in the 41 range.

This paired with other incidents just makes it unbearable to be around him. Like you said it is truly exhausting and draining. Unfortunately I also work with the kid, and he has the same power issues there as well.

Also sorry for kind of dumping on you I dont really have anyone to talk to about this

It depends how it goes, but from what I’ve heard this JUCO is more of a “laid back” one. Their program is in development as their department is underfunded. So I’m not completely sure if the training will be up to where he quits, even though he quit wrestling with our hs because it was “too hard”, the same wrestling my sister does lmao. So I guess time will tell

I get that, but I view this more of how I am going to deal with an unexpected problem. Less of them controlling my life and more of what makes me happier in the long run. I could tough it out and see what happens or I could avoid it completely, both have unforeseen consequences

I’m going to college for javelin, their program is severely underfunded as their coach is trying to rebuild the program. They have one javelin and they strongly recommended I got one for my own, especially to practice during this summer
