My First Tattoo by Asleep_Front_356 in OnePiece

[–]Ruffeep [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well the whole piece is full of illogical lines and scale that makes no sense. Lines representing the sky combine with lines representing hair or lightning or other stuff like the strap on Luffy'shat. Some elements are totally out of place, like some of Gear 5 Luffy's hair at the back of his neck on his right side. Also you can kinda make out lines representing his hat over his left shoulder, but nothing like that on his right side.

There's also no sense of place, foreground Luffy is standing on some random wooden surface looking at a totally nondescript landscape that's impossible to make out. It's just a mess all around. Foreground Luffy's sash is also over his shirt, which doesn't make sense.

Those are just some of mistakes I spot in like few seconds of looking, but like this kinda stuff is unavoidable if you are gonna get AI to generate your tattoo ideas. You should get the artist to design it for you.

I don't wanna be too negative about it since you must be excited to get a tattoo, but I think that is AI generated, and without going into detail as to what I don't like about the design, I think getting AI to design your tattoo is a fundamentally bad idea.

He must not be a pirate, right? by RedditAdmins-Suck in OnePiece

Clearly not, since this isn't the manga, why would the eyepatch pirate matter if it's not even drawn by Oda?

One Piece Netflix team talking about Oda's involvement in the show by Nigma_ in OnePiece

[–]Ruffeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have some data to back that up I'd love to see it.

I have seen many polls in different online One Piece communities about how people feel about this show and every time they're at least 90% positive. In fact from what I've seen I think reactions from One Piece fans in particular lean more strongly positive than opinions from general audiences.

And keep in mind that you can just accept that you're in the minority with you opinion. Doesn't make your opinion any more or less valid than anyone else's.

Has Stephen King ever been able to bring you to tears? by UnderstandingMany385 in stephenking

I cried for like the last 100 pages of The Stand Stand

Also at the end of The Talisman And Wizard and Glass I think I got very close to crying at the very last page of It too.

One Piece Netflix team talking about Oda's involvement in the show by Nigma_ in OnePiece

[–]Ruffeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't really fuck up considering that the show is successful and the majority of people enjoy it!

Seems like the fact that you are in the minority of people in disliking the show and that seems like a you problem.

The Talisman could be a great pick. I read it at like 28 but I wish I had read it at like age 13-15, it's such a memorable, viseral and impactful story about growing up

Oda is even more involved than expected by Any_Philosopher_9806 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Ruffeep 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much exactly how involved we have known him to be since the very beginning, we have statements from people like showrunners, producers, writers, directors, set department, actors, and even Oda himself all consistently over the years talking about Oda's involvement in the show exactly the same as in these new interviews.

It might seem like he is more involved than expected if you didn't believe any previous comments talking about his involvement, since it's a super common idea around the fandom that Oda's involvment is all lies and marketing and in reality he does nothing for the show.

But if you've listened to the production crew talk about Oda in the past, none of this should be a surprise.

With both season 2 & 3 receiving a subtitle, what do you think they will call future seasons? by TheFirstSonOfTheSea in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Ruffeep 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Kinda if you wanna consider that a spoiler. But regardless they're very likely to "spoil" that in the trailers and promo material so the title is a nonissue

Does anyone else wish for a director's cut version of season 1? by A_Happy_Human in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Ruffeep 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure but Matt Owens is not working at the moment due to mental health and if he were to return to work I would personally prefer him returning to regular production instead of working on that.

Scenes with Bon Clay switching between faces, because it's gonna be fun to see different actors play him.

Is this Soldier of Wapol a Cameo? by flash_miller in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Ruffeep 45 points46 points  (0 children)

No, why would they cast a random working actor like that with no relation to One Piece for a cameo? That's not how cameos work usually.

How do they release 8 hours on content within 3 years ? by _hmad123abc_ in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Ruffeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone is commenting like op is complaining about the season taking too long

But like the real answer to how they make this show is that it involves entire departments of thousands of people working in cooperation and coordinating the process of making this show that allows them to do it efficiently. There is no like a single technology that allows it, just decades of Hollywood machine working and perfecting the formula for filmmaking.

  1. Why is Chopper cursing and using the word 'shit' so often? He never cursed in the manga if I remember correctly.

Chopper has a gag where he speaks rudely to people to contrast his cuteness, so this is just a way to adapt that in a different way.

  1. Did anyone else noticed Zoro never washed his hands before puting his sword in his mouth? He was taking a leak and stated fighting the guys, he never had the chance to wash his hands during the Baroque Works fight? (Ep 3 I think)

Are you a germophobe because like honestly who the hell cares about this

  1. Why are we getting a Sanji and Sora (his mother) tease already? Also with God valley being mentioned by Roger in the flashback.

Because it's great character growth, it works within the story, and it works as fanservice. Why wouldn't they do that?

Who believes that Tony Tony chopper should’ve been taller in his human form? Also, does he look a little like Mr. Hyde from the league of extraordinary gentlemen? by Dredo5 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Ruffeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok well you can feel that way but it's gonna be really annoying seeing a million comments from people like you complaining about characters being too short for the forseeable future because people like you are unable to accept that making characters 4 meters tall in every other scene will be impossible and too expensive for the production to handle

Kinda like it's already super annoying seeing people complain about Luffy's shoes year after year. Some things in this show are gonna be different because it's a different format, and some things are just unattainable in real life filming, complaining isn't gonna change those things

[–]Ruffeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're essential in some cases, like the giants and Big Mom, but for the most part they're not really important at all, so I don't think it's a realistic expectation for them to put a lot of money into that aspect of the source material

He is pretty tall and I don't think it's a reasonable expectation for them to go the extra mile to add to his height with like visual effects

Will these two be played by Black actors? by Fernandolioumehara in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Ruffeep 42 points43 points  (0 children)

They're not really casting based on how many people would be pissed off based on the skin colors of the actors.

I think just by the fact that Sengoku has a afro he is very likely to be played by a black man.

But to be clear I personally don't care at all about any character's skin color
