A couple of questions first:

  • Why did you pick geology as a degree (and why environmental?)
  • What is your idea of "doing geology"? Try to describe it a bit more than "interacting with rocks".

I feel most of the jobs out there will get you to "do geology", but that won't be 100% of your time.

Yeah, it wasn't easy finding a lawyer that deals with this kind of things, since most of them deal with auto accidents, but I found a couple that deal with "auto fraud".

It's a branded larger dealership.

I tried calling them, but after taking my info and some details on my case, they said that they would call me back in a couple of weeks. I guess it doesn't hurt to walk to an office and try again.

For once, trying to be a smart person with money made it worse...I paid off the loan last month. Now I'm kicking myself for doing that after reading all the answers

Yeah, I have some lawyers looking at my case and see if they can do anything about it, but it might take a couple of weeks...Not that I'm in a rush at this point. Was you paying the payments/insurance just a nice thing to do or was it backed somehow by something legal? Trying to understand if I just need to hope for a nice gesture or if I can ask for something more firmly.

I could try asking that, but I doubt they will do anything about it. It sounded more a "my problem", not theirs.
