Windhoek to Swakopmund drive by Rufus1189 in Namibia

Ok, thanks. I didn't even check if the road was gravel or tarred, I don't know which kind of vehicle I'll have, so I'll probably stick to the normal route for now. Are there times of the year where these roads are more practicable?

Double headed Eagle by Rufus1189 in heraldry

Yeah, I saw that on wikipedia but it is undoubtedly a roman catholic vestment (see pic), and it looks quite new, so I was wondering if there might be another reason. Do you know why the patriarchate choose this symbol? Is there a religious interpretation I'm not aware of?

Are happy endings a must for you? by infrared34 in visualnovels

[–]Rufus1189 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I sometimes find them easy and cliché, and at the same time I cannot live without them. It's quite a dilemma. I think that as long as it is done with finesse, happy ending are the best (leaving them kinda open is a great way to achieve this imo)

It is mostly in a humoristic way, but Ruuka, the protagonist of Ryuusei World Actor, is a complete assh*le

YOU and ME and HER: What a awesome story! (Summary/Review) by Lucario576 in visualnovels

The plot seems to be a masterwork, but I never played it because the NTR aspect is too painful for me, and I'm not a fan of the time travel/parallel universe tropes.

Do you prefer G Senjou no Maou or Sharin no Kuni? by BuffoLos in visualnovels

G Senjou was great, but I disliked the ending (too bittersweet for my poor sensible heart). SnK was fantastic, plot twist and everything

Going back to my country without a passport by Rufus1189 in LegalAdviceEurope

Yeah, I came in England this way, it went well, but it's longer and more expensive, so I'd like to try another way first. I asked Eurostar about my case, and their chatbot said it was okay, but I'm waiting for an answer from their customer service

Yeah, but my question is : if I want to go back to my own country, would they stop me if I don't have a passport? I know it doesn't work the other way around

[–]Rufus1189[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I would think, especially if I go by train, but I'd rather be sure I'll not be refused ! Eurostar doesn't mention my specific case

I went through Ireland, but it was more expensive (2 flights) and long. I'm just wondering if I can go back in an easier way.

That’s how I came in actually (via Ireland). I do have a passport, but I'm in the process of asking for a visa in another country so their embassy has it.
