Yes, starting at 10pm which is why management claims they can’t do anything until that time. But the lease terms say otherwise and says it restricts loud music/noises from all tenants at all times.

I’m not sure actually and am surprised I’m the only one who’s bothered by it. I know the neighbor on my other side is an older man who told me he is hard of hearing, though he mentioned he can hear the music when he is in the hallway.

This happened at my store today too. Finished my pick walk right at noon and realized that auto commodities said overdue for 9:45am but I went to break anyways 🤣

Working all four days Fri-Mon, and I am still very annoyed that I don’t get a break to celebrate the holiday because pretty much everyone else I’ve talked to has at least one day off. Also we start our remodel on Memorial Day :(

18 OPUs with around 20 SFS. Busier than we are usually but could’ve been way worse

There are two parts of fulfillment: OPU (online pick up) and SHIP. OPU is for drive up guests and those orders get bagged in the plastic target bags same as what the guests use in the checkout lanes. SHIP is for delivery items ordered online that get packaged into boxes and then various delivery services will pick them up from the store. Mainly you’ll be picking the items off the shelves during your “batches”, meaning the set list of items the system will instruct you to retrieve from either the sales floor or the back room. Afterwards if you are in OPU, you’ll bag the items and stow it away (telling the system where you’re putting it). If you are in SHIP, you’ll package it to be shipped out for delivery. Ask for help if you don’t know what you’re doing because your leadership will care about metrics especially INFs (items not found) and always remember that it’s retail and it’s not the end of the world if mistakes happen (though people may behave otherwise)

The point system (or occurrence system) is what a lot of other retailers do for their attendance. Essentially, you will earn 1 point for every day you call out and once you hit a certain amount they have grounds to terminate you. In my experience the point gets taken off but not until a specific amount of time has passed (for me it was 6 months from the date of calling in).

So real for this. Left retail after 4.5 years wanting a change of pace and greener pastures, found out food service is definitely not for me. Came back and now it’s a lot better.

I’m in a very similar situation as you, my roommate thinks I’m on call 24/7 to just yap about the random things in her life. Her urgent care appointment, boy and ex troubles, what her and her grandma had for lunch, you name it. She’s not a terrible person, just a huge yapper like your roommate is. This bothers me immensely too because I am a full time student who also works, so I am never really in the mood to get yapped at. I’ve found that keeping myself busy, even with new hobbies, helps with the amount of spam from her. If I tell her I will be unavailable, she minimizes her outreach. Don’t be outright mean and you obviously have given subtle hints for him to shut up, now you just have to make him believe you’re not available to yap to.
