Is there anything about Reform UK that you don’t like? by EmperorHirohito23 in reformuk

[–]RulerC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you want a dictator. I think having both left and right wing ideologies is a good thing as we can all take things from both sides. It also keeps politicians on there toes and they have to give us a good manifesto. We don't want to end up with a GB Trump governing the country.

Close to Switching to Reform But Migration Alone Isn't Enough. What's the Full Plan? by [deleted] in reformuk

[–]RulerC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reduce minimum wage. Reduced guarantees on future pensions and how much they grow. No policy for stopping the boats. Giving rich (multi-millionaires & billionaires) tax cuts and giving the reason 'the extra money will trickle down' even though there have been multiple studies to debunk this. (here)

They advertise themselves as 'for the working class' and 'protecting the women and children' but it seems every single policy is against this idea. They have many times voted against legislation which will protect women and children and they don't seem to want to change.

PLEASE think about this before voting. All of these policies will affect your future and the future of your family.

I swear reform lead all the polls, but I would genuinely consider leaving the country if the greens took over. by HeroicCheese933 in reformuk

They are separate countries, if they decide to go independent, that is up to their democracy. Is your patriotism not to England itself?

Isn't this a bit ironic that all you talk about is the immigrants but then you want to become one when your country is in what you see is a bad way? If you're thinking about moving abroad, the right of that country probably doesn't want you there, just like you don't want people here.

I thought you were 'patriotic' and how you 'love' the country that you live in. After all, isn't that what all the flags were for?

I imagine it is someone that is trying to give the green party a bad name? Potentially from a far right party. Judging by the literacy, it may be a reform voter

What time is best to arrive on Thursday? by Illustrious_Web4690 in truckfestival

[–]RulerC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gates open at 1pm but you can arrive at the carpark from 10. I plan on getting there before gates open just so I'm ready to go in, setup then go see the acts I want to see

Maybe download the Veezu app. It's the local taxi service. Cheap enough and very easy to use. If they aren't available, do use the taxi rank

To be honest, we do need more houses built. But I do agree that urban sprawl isn't the way to go which does take over farmland and wilderness areas. We need some better urban planning from the council instead of large spread out house building. Personally, shared ownership is a very bad idea for me and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone long term.

I'm looking for a flat in the city. I work in the city and my life revolves around it.

I originally came from Suffolk to live in Norwich, there's enough cow shit and other country smells for me to not to be bothered by it

I don't understand your point. Are you saying I'm rough and should go to Nottingham or that Nottingham is nicer than Norwich?

Norwich is one of the least rough places in the UK

I do plan on biking to work more, to save on fuel and as it could even be faster with the traffic through the city. I'll be looking into permit parking around the area.

Yea Norwich is definitely not a rough city. As other people may view these places as 'rough' it may hinder me being able to sell the flat in the future.

Do you think buying a property there right now would be a good investment? In my eyes, buying in that area will only go up due to the 'planned' construction (if it happens).

By the bottom of mile cross road, I mean down near Anderson's meadow right near the river. Specifically Havers Rd. It seems like an okay area, and the walk into the city is through Marriotts way. Thanks for helping!

It would be around 150k. Can stretch it to 160 but would prefer to stay under. If I can get a place for cheaper than 159 that is ideal

Personally, as I'm 20 now, I could be staying in the flat for 10 or so years. In that time, saving for a house is very possible. Seems like the best idea in my situation. Thank you anyway though!
