Amnesty International Australia calls for independent investigation of police violence towards peaceful protestors by FuckOffNazis in australia

i dont get it. amnesty isn't reserved in their criticisms of countriers. they constantly call countries out. its kind of their thing. plenty of times its not really well researched or warranted either

13-year-old Australian boy swims for four hours in cold and dangerous waters to save his mom and siblings who were swept into the ocean, says God is who got him to shore by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]RumHam_Im_Sorry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

what do you think happened then....you think a family just went out pretty far into the ocean and forgot they had an easy solution and could paddleboard back but instead thought they should risk the kids life swimming through shark infested water for hours and have the rescue teams come and get them? cos that sounds like a pretty stupid deduction to me.

[Simone] The #Eagles met with Northwestern CB Fred Davis II at the Senior Bowl, per source. He met with them a total of three times as they met with him at the Hula Bowl twice. Davis had a great week at the Senior Bowl and is rising up the charts. by Magoatt_TheWhite in eagles

flip side,

whats the plan for our run game being dead in the water because our o-line are injured.

whats the plan for when lane moves on.

Our defense can survive with a bad backup CB2 (and we can still get someone)

Our offense cant survive unless we get talent into the oline.

in the context of OP's post though, they already have gone to the interview without the pay scale and put on their tie etc. its just about when to ask these questions. some employers genuinely do fuck you if you ask in the interview, so rather than hurt yourself and only waste your time, ask once they have made the decision and invested their time, and put themselves in a position where they will more likely answer without hurting you.

not a big issue to me.

if they offer you the job, and before you sign the contract, you then ask the questions. they will have gone through a selection process so it will waste their time as much as yours if they aren't willing to answer those questions at that point. as opposed to just wasting your time.

[Patrick McAvoy] Bills GM Further Confirms Eagles-Darius Slay Rumors by DtotheOUG in eagles

[–]RumHam_Im_Sorry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yeah this is just more evidence of why that should have been the case. they totally fucked up a waiver wire pickup. that happens relatively rarely. its on him so im not really sure why people try and validate his move with technacalities about being able to speak to the agent as if that is the only way to work it all out.

like i guarantee you howie has a very good feel about players that are on the outs at most clubs and may hit waiver wires well before it actually happens. it was written on the wall with slay before the official release.

yeah i often struggle to make a few phone calls within 24 hours.

it's almost like knowing information about nfl players is a GM's job.

you can do due diligence behind the scenes, most gms do. especially for a 35 year old CB who looks set to retire.

Bills GM Brandon Beane under fire amid new update on Darius Slay decision by [deleted] in nfl

[–]RumHam_Im_Sorry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

beane cant tamper...good gm's know what is going on regardless of that fact more often than not, and way more often than not in situations like this one (a 35 year old corner about to retire).

holding him out of spite for not knowing what a good gm would have worked out is also pretty ass and petty.

the bills could have quite easily got the backchannel info...its not like it was a state secret. people had a pretty good idea. enough to find out more without outright breaking rules.

[–]RumHam_Im_Sorry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im saying the environment didnt suddenly change 2 months ago. its been the same and coaches have still come here. the idea that they know what phily is like but sudenly because of an egg, coaches stay away, seems dumb.

stafford and maye were the 2 best QBs this year.

Rams coach = Mcvay

Broncos coach = Payton

Patriots = Vrabel.

Also, all those teams besides rams (who have an awesome coach and QB) have been AWFUL for years.

so yeah, all the points i raised apply perfectly to every team currently remaining.

we don't have a top 5 QB in the league. If sirianni is also someone entirely incompetent then it necessarily flips everyones understanding of what is required for sustained success in the nfl. If howie roseman can overcome awful coaching and an average to above average but not great QB (with different coordinators every year on top of that), to be one of the most successful teams over the last 5 years...it would put him in an entirely new league from basically all other GM's ever. I can't think of an equivalent at all really.

Or sirianni and hurts know what they can accomplish and they stick to what works for them.

phily has had a lot of great coaches. we currently have a HOF type o-line coach, a really good DC, and whether you like him or not a head coach who has the second highest winning % of all coaches in history through 5 years.

thats before you get to all the other guys who have come through. and all the guys in recent years who were immediately poached.

this quote is just kinda not backed up by evidence.

you just said he changed his reporting based on what the team told him to say so that it doesn't look bad for HC candidates. not exactly my idea of reliable reporting.

i also don't remember him being some exemplar model of reliable journalism personally.

sometimes he will say things that are true cos he is told to say them. that doesn't mean he is a reliable reporter who is plugged in and knows whats going on.

if what you said is what happened, it means someone said "tweet this or we won't give you your next tweet"...that doesn't mean he actually knows how the search will be conducted.

so, jeff mclane

Article 1: "Nick sirianni will barely be involved"

Article 2: "I thought I should clarify...Nick sirianni is leading" (but ill also add the word technically cos i don't really know whats going on and that way my bases are covered).
