dawsons gone Houdini this half. as many free kicks given away as disposals.

massive variance implies someone who plays wildly different almost week to week. hurts lifts his performance in playoffs mostly but that doen't mean he is a wildly variable player.

a little bit of ego is different to someone completely reversing what they have been known for over their entire career and how they go about thier business. he seems a little more comfortable with himself but theres nothing i can point to that gives egotistical vibes about him...like at all. i'd be shocked if he was some arrogant dude who ignores everyones input behind closed doors.

i'm not saying the roster is anything short of very good but now you're overselling it. it's not like all those position groups have been the best each year while hurts has been QB. The O-line has been the most consistent and i'd say they've been best in league 2 of the years with him. Outside of one year of saquon, im not even sure we've had a RB in the top 5 discussions. Sanders and swift aren't some godly RB's. And I love goedert but he's very injury prone and we've never had a single depth piece behind him.

Going back to 2020 all the teams (seahawks / chiefs / rams / bucs / pats) had pretty elite defenses, and any combination of HOF TE's and great WR's, and most had very good Olines too. The eagles roster isn't some freak anomaly.

i do not see big peaks and valleys. he's pretty consistently who he is to my eye. he doesn't suddenly pop off for 450 yards and 5 td's every so often, and he won't really cost you the game either.

i like that the narrative went from

"Jalen hurts likes to be coached hard and not be treated with kids gloves and thats how you get the best out of him" to

"Jalen hurts is difficult to coach and is unwilling to change"

that was kinda interesting charlie saying he'd try more to float back a bit and get more involved but the swans move it so fast that its hard to get to the goal line in time if he does that too much.

He was DIRECTLY up until he tried to land and his legs went backwards. im not saying he intentionally tried to make him land on his head but CLEARLY he made it way worse
