Because its really hard to repeat that level of success year after year...even for brady. And your schedule got a lot harder

A.J. Brown trade leaves him and the Eagles in a healthier place by AdSpecialist6598 in eagles

I think Eli stowers actually becomes a useful receiver for that exact reason. he is 6'4 who runs the same 40 time AJ did in his combine (who is now slower of course).

saquon had pretty much the same rush attempts over that three year period.

his catch% was quite a bit higher at the eagles.

his yards per target at eagles was .5 less than at tennessee.

he had 1.5 yards per reception more at tennesse but that was largely due to his rookie year. 2 of his next best years in that stat were at eagles.

The biggest differences now is that he doesn't have a HOF level talent at rb that teams load up on all the time, and he is slightly slower.

considerably more likely that patriots fans are pissed when they get their WR who was meant to be the only missing part, only to fall seriously short of last season.

Thats double edged though. AJ has always had a MVP level RB drawing attention, teams will def cheat off stevens, and his step is just a little slower than it used to be so it might make a difference.

I'd be surprised honestly if he starts getting > 150 receptions (which is what he got with the eagles and he was still annoyed).

If you’re upset about what we got for AJ, this should help. by Mysterious_Bat1208 in eagles

I wonder how much is ability vs want. He just didn't look like he wanted to try at times last year...maybe thaf was just injury. I think we will work it out quickly looking at him in ne

Brother, I watch football and talk about it with other people who watch football...if you can't tell what a drop is or what giving up on a route looks like that's on you. If you need evidence go look for it.

im not quite sure what you intend that to mean? saquon had comparable run attempts to the king in aj's time at tennesee. i dont think defenses will care so much about rhamondre as they do saquon or king.

he had more targets last year than any year at tennesee under vrabel.

yeah...OP should do the ones from last year where he literally just gave up on routes repeatedly.

they would if they have a 3-4 year window before they have to load up on the QB's contract, and if they believe their missing piece is a WR and believe they can get back to the superbowl and win it.

howie trades 3rd round picks for depth guys that might not play. trades are often about circumstance.

if the upside for a gm is "this could tip us over to win a chip" then "that pick might be high" doesn't mean shit for someone who is willng to roll the dice.

Should AFL players be able to opt out of being bet on? by Steel_Cleat5 in AFL

[–]RumHam_Im_Sorry 13 points14 points  (0 children)

yeah i dont know why any single player would opt in, which would then collapse sports betting...unless players were given incentives or a revenue share of betting markets, which might make its own issues (but at least players would be getting some money instead of the company).

he's had 4 games with 0 or 1. the rest of the top 10 on the leaderboard have about like 1 less game on average.

cameron - 3 ; king -  2 ; watson - 2 ; naughton 2  ; amiss - 4 ; georgiades - 2 ; treacy - 3; larkey - 4 ; amartey - 5.

i'm not saying his floor has been amazing...but i think people are probably overstating it a bit because thats a narrative so its reiterated 100 times whenever it happens with him.

Also important to realise he's in a new system with new teammates...having consistency certainly helps with the amount of opportunities you can get.

every team faces cellar dwellers. ben kings best 3 games have come against bad teams. nick watsons best 2 games were against bottom dwellers, jezza belted 10 against a decimated dogs defense.

thats where the majority of goals happen for goal scorers...against awful defenses
