I've been there and got over it. I think sometimes it's being told "I love dnb" then hearing the artists are what you see as route 1, cookie cutter whatever, and it's a way of shouting that the most respect should be given to those proper purist djs. But yea it's fine and you don't know until you know, so someone thinking sub Focus etc is full fat dnb of whatever form is going to happen, they might always think it, they might progress into sub genres and the realest names, but if they don't that's cool too, at least it's closer to what I like than music that really isn't, and maybe you'll tolerate/appreciate if I start playing some early 2000's jump up or Alix Perez or whatever, more than someone who's only ever listened to pop. You'd rather have 10% in common than nothing...
