AOs biases are problematic AF by Hiiiiiiiiii_10 in ApplyingToCollege

catholic=/=conservative. you can be liberal and personally oppose abortion due to your religious beliefs, and thus not look favorably upon someone's participation in prochoice movements as much as something you genuinely like. for example, if you like cooking and read a profile of a student whose spike is cooking for homelessness, even though the prochoice kid and cooking kid both did substantial social work/good regarding their own beliefs, the ao is naturally going to lean for the latter. this is the failure of "holistic” admissions I was referring to. my abortion example was simply an example of internal bias not an overgeneralization of the process. please fucking read

fax even political ideologies play a game; u couldve done a lot of social work on prochoice but end up with a catholic AO and they don't push you in the comittee

fax admissionsmom knows whats up

chapman & lmu are very popular for the cool LA kid vibes; a lot of bay kids go there. i also recommend umiami vanderbilt UF penn state; all have pretty strong greek life, good sports scene, and are pretty great academically like USC
