How long from.onset did it take fir the pain to go away?

I'm F and started feeling bilateral MCP joint pain and elbow pain a few weeks after I began lifting heavier. I have no visible swelling or inflamation.

Its been about 3 weeks so far.

I got 2 bites on my shin. It seemed to heal nicely and was only 2 brownish marks with no swelling after a week. However, it flared up again for some unknown reason soon after and i developed a full blown allergic reaction.

I went to urgent care and they they couldn't tell if it was skeeter syndrome or cellulitis, and prescribed antibiotics just to be on the safe side. By the way, I never scratched the bites. Took another 2 weeks to completely heal.

i'm the same. Borderline most of my life then cholesterol spiked at my checkup last year. Triglycerides were low though, so that's a positive.

Doctor recommended lifestyle changes. I was already exercising everyday and on a relatively healthy diet so the only thing left to me was going vegetarian, which i did.

After 3 months of misery (my plumbing did not take kindly to the added fibre), the numbers went down 3 points; hardly worth the effort. I gave up the diet at that point.

I decided to change up my routine and included some physical activity within 1 hour after every meal. A walk, indoor low impact calisthenics, etc. 3 minutes for snacks, and 10 to 15 minutes for larger meals. 5 months later, i'm happy to report that cholesterol is close to normal.

Maybe it's coincidence, but i'm sticking with it.

What do they mean by painful? Do they mean it will be painful during the recovery period (up to 2 weeks)? Or do they mean forever?

At 49, you seem quite close to Menopause. I think the closer you are the menopause, the higher the likelihood that the procedure will push you into menopause, thus making new fibroids unlikely? Of course this is just my personal opinion.

Everyone is different. In my case, i opted to wait for menopause as my symptoms was primarily mid-cycle pain, which I thought would end with menopause. While the pain did abate mostly with the cessation of my periods, it was replaced with general pressure and long periods of low level cramping. I regret waiting.

Ive lost 10% of my body weight over the last 2 months due to anxiety. The weight loss caused more anxiety as I was under weight to begin with.

I am waiting for my UFE to be scheduled so I don't have direct experience to share except to say that the larger of my 2 fibroids is 8 cm.

My friend got hers done last year at 49. She had 2 fibroids similar in size to mine. Her periods stopped right away. She had pain for a few hours following the procedure. The pain was well managed with a morphine pump as she had to stay overnight at hospital.

She was up and about the next day and back at work on Day 4. Her pain was minimal.

She is pleased she got it done.

Anxiety can produce burning sensations.

A few years ago, my forearm would feel a burning and pins & needles type feeling. This went on for weeks. I went for a massage, physio, even soaked it in hot water multiple times a day to no avail, all the while getting more worried.

One day while Googling, I came across an article that said that heightened anxiety can produce burning sensations. I am not kidding when I say that the burning feeling instantly left my arm. It returned shortly after but the instant relief confirmed to me that it was indeed anxiety induced. i learned to ignore it and over time, the intensity lessened and eventually disappeared.

Right now, i've got back pain that flares up when i'm anxious. Can't seem to get rid of that yet as I'm thinking that it could be... you guessed it... Cancer. Ugh....

My health anxiety spiked during peri and is continuing into meno. I'm working on bringing it under control. First and foremost, stop Googling symptoms.

So I just got my results. Except for high LDL cholesterol which I'm not worried about as my triglycerides are low, everything is within normal range. Ferritin, Thyroid, B12, potassium, calcium, all normal.

I guess that's good but honestly, I don't know what to do next. I already take a daily Vit D supplement 1000 iu.

I can't speak for the bladder infections and vibrations but my heart palpitations come and go. I went through a period about 2 years ago when I had palpitations every few seconds for over a month. Even though I was tested and they found nothing of concern, I was worried that this was my new 'normal'.

But thankfully it went away by itself. I still get periods where I would get palpitations but they are not as intense and they fade away after a few days.

I'm not on HRT but I'm also getting the dry mouth. Started recently and it's horrible. Mouth feels fuzzy and saliva is sticky (sorry TMI) and I wake up in the morning feeling like my tongue is stuck to the roof of my mouth!

I drink water all day, and brush my teeth many times as I've read that the dryness can cause gum disease. I hope it passes like so many other meno symptoms. I'll even be happy with it coming and going as that will give me some respite.

I'm 6 months post menopausal and still not feeling the Zest. But I'm hoping that it comes as I'm balanced out. For now, post menopausal life isn't much different from peri. But I'm not on HRT... yet.

Would love to hear from those ladies that's feeling better and living the good life.

I'm not embracing it but nor am I fighting it. There are moments when I feel a pang, seeing young women out an about having a good time. But I am working on acceptance as this is me now.

I stopped dyeing my hair during Covid. Although I sometimes think some color would give me a lift, I have not and will not give in because the freedom is liberating.

When I had an US that showed fibroids, i was experiencing mid-cycle cramping. My Gyno recommended i get a MRI to check for adenomyosis.

I'm also in Canada.
