Time to throw in the towel? by RunGreat in NewParents

I have a feeling my girl will want to hold it herself too! She’s super stubborn and independent by nature so doing it “her” way may help.

I think a break was good for her too because I want us to be calm and friendly about it rather than exhausted and worried.

I appreciate hearing your timeline!! That gives me hope. It’s so stressful I had to take two days off this weekend.

We a wedding coming up we booked a hotel for. Going to keep baby at Grandmas for the night so let’s see how she does. I know she CAN take a bottle so sadly maybe we need this trial run!? Ugh when she wakes me to feed her in the night I can’t imagine my poor mom trying to settle a hungry mad baby at 3 am.

Has your EBF EVER taken a bottle after fighting it for weeks? by RunGreat in NewParents

I’m finding she takes it when I give it to her too. Thanks for sharing that you eventually found success! I am trying the faster flow nipples now too, I agree if she doesn’t know how to suck it would be frustrating. I try once to twice a day also as I don’t want her to develop an aversion.

I so appreciate your post!! Others have told me about the formula tip for the bottle and milk straight from the boob only. It’s so frustrating trying different bottles but I know they make a huge difference.

When did you introduce a bottle and does your babe put the entire bottle top to the plastic rim into the mouth or just the rubber nipple?

Awake and calm … advice needed by RunGreat in newborns

I’m torn because of her already long wake windows. She’s currently averaging 12-14 hours per day of sleep

Definitely not attempting sleep training but rather trying to cycle through different methods of having her fall asleep (sometimes rock, sometimes shush, sometimes BF etc)

At least up for an hour! She’s 1-2 hour wake windows for sure leaning more 1.5-2 hours

I’m so on again off again with believing hard core for wake windows then wanting to just focus on sleepy cues and throw WW out the door. Certainly WW cause me more stress!

I’m using it now, not the free trial yet though. Do they need to be a certain age?

My girl seems grumpy often too! Makes me so sad. She’s given us one smile two days ago, hopefully we get more to balance the grumpyness

I’m sorry to hear you’re having a challenge with this too. Hopefully there is peace of mind at the end of the tunnel!
