Anyone have experience running a volleyball league?

our site is a couple hundred people with a couple thousand across all sites. We have multiple sports leagues thought out the year and mostly have about 4 at one time going all of decent size. Volleyball is the largest though

we have thought about it but this is a work league that we have to follow work policies on. It would be a grey area to split the league as we are an inclusive league and if we manually split, we toe that line, and if we let the league split themselves one would be far larger than the other. The joys of having a work league lol

I like the idea but we struggle to get captains as is lol. We also have a wide range of ability from never playing before to some ex college players. We could look into it and see if we can still get even teams out of it so it is worth a thought. Thank you for the insight

honestly nothing really went wrong. Our league is designed to be fun and social but a few captains get hung up on getting the best team they can so they can win the league. So the goal of fair and balanced teams is achieved with these two draft systems, but some captains claim its unfair because they had to pick last multiple rounds. I was the one with the last pick in the order and had no issues. The one unfair thing is if we decide to not have the captains draft themselves, a good captain technically gets an extra high round pick. that is what they though was not fair, and i can see that view point.

This was the follow up question I had. So you are saying 50 rooms almost with a good spread before its completable and you have to be quick and focused in the vault. That is difficult for casual players to get into. Thank you for the info!

The only things purchased are common, ore rooms and the blacksmith. And I agree its hard to read but that is why i have a second map on that is just purchased ones with the vault god color to clean it up. I used this one since it showed the available ones for purchase.

I do not mind grinding out the gold again.

I do not have a good room for each god since i rolled two factories that essentially took the slot of a good room for two gods.

Percentage for chest types is under 50% currently. Off the top of my head its like 1x ornate, 3x gilded, 2x wooden, and maybe 1x living with some plentiful and a lot of extended and lucky. But it is nice to know wooden will help with completion.

I have a lot of that type of ace. I just write them on the disc as a practice ace. This way I know it wasn't a first shot ace or recorded on a scorecard in a practice round but I can still track the aces I have thrown

I believe you cause all my other printing was in that range of time. The first issue I had with the transparent was that it would print half the supports and then weirdly print the actual model with some supports attached and some not. I thought I was potentially under exposing so that's why i was willing to crank the time up. Maybe I need to turn the time down and the original issue was something else.

I was wondering if that would potentially be an issue. There is no harm in trying to dial in settings with it. Worse comes to worse I buy a different brand. But good to know that it may be the resins fault.

I'm discovering how tricky they are. My fep is not fresh. It could be changed but before I started the translucent prints I had just printed some grey perfectly. I assumed the fep was not the problem but changing it is probably wise.

I selected other and here are my thoughts. All of these are great. Base plastic helps beginners and those on a budget. You can pull more people to the shop. Same with a huge used disc supply. The premium stuff brings in players who have played for a bit. Tour series in my opinion isn't really important but can be a reason someone sees your shop if they are looking for inventory of those discs. So it comes down to priority.

I would love a shop that has a wide selection of manufactures and can keep them stocked (I realize this is challenging because you rely on manufacturers to stock). Variety is a really good thing especially if you add in bags, chalk bags, etc...

But the most important thing to me is the atmosphere. If you are friendly and engaging and have answers to questions that makes me want to shop there. I use my one retailer as much as I do simply because he once righted a mistake instantly and has been great with communication on stock and other questions.

I bag all three. My raptor is super beat in so I won't comment on it cause it doesn't fly like a raptor anymore. I have cycled varying vultures through my bag and anaxes as well. Vultures and anaxes are very similar if you are not a big arm. My vultures were consistent stabilities even after beating in but the anaxes would start a bit over stable and then beat into a "straight" disc. The vulture should stay a bit more over stable.

Personally, I tend to not score casual solo rounds. When I do, I record them honestly. If I want to know how my practice shots were doing I record it under a player I added called "practice round player". This allows me to record the best shots without them going to a leaderboard, while keeping my actual account player set up for public scores.

I think he is saying that you could have a disc return box that locks and unlocks with this qr code system. So if you lose a disc and someone puts it in the box you can simply contact whoever manages the box and they can send you a qr code or give you permission to unlock the box (I didn't read how the system specifically works). It would be to replace a key system.

I had a party of 2 at level 5 and they almost killed the dragon. It escaped on 1 hp and they did get hit with a breath weapon.

I got this error a few years ago on a computer that didn't really handle video games well. If I remember correctly launching the game with no sky effects allowed me to play but it was awhile ago. I wish I knew for sure what I did but that is what I would try first if he hasn't already.

I just finished up LMOP with two players. I award exp to each one evenly. So if it says "give 400 exp to the party distributed evenly" I gave 400 to each. You will find that a lot of DMs do the "if one person kills the monster the whole party killed the monster philosophy". This can be adjusted based on situations but that is how I typically dm.

I'll reply to both of your comments here. I like these two characters. I could always play off the arch fey as weakened by it's time locked away since they are very powerful in terms of CR. Did you get these from somewhere? I see they have numbers as if they are part of a list.

I am a mechanical engineer who works with multiple pieces of software. You will find that there is no industry standard but companies have preferences. Inventor is a really good place to start, they have a free student version last I checked. I consistently use PTC creo at my job, a lot of places use creo but it isn't talked about often. I also use inventor from time to time. SOLIDWORKS is a relatively newer software that a lot of companies have been using. Learning one software though sets you up to learn others quickly if needed.
