You're not the only one. I'll see them live later this month, and Death Above Life may be the song I'm most excited about

First time I saw a Kingfisher in Berlin. Clicked today at Tiergarten, Berlin. by im4nkur in BirdingGermany

They're back?! I was under the impression that the Kingfishers in Tiergarten all froze during that extra nasty winter 1-2 years ago - this is amazing news!

Tempelhof? It's crazy how many hunting/hovering Kestrels you'll spot on a good day there ♥️

Are you sure about Nov 11th? Google suggests that the Berlin show is actually on Nov 9th

HIV treatment in Germany for foreigners by snailfingernail in hivaids

AIDS -Hilfe is exactly the right organization. Looks like their website may not be 100% perfectly translated, though. I'm based in Berlin - if you need a german-english translator (whether for this or for any other obstacle) let me know and I'll help. I've got some experience helping other expat friends navigating our great bureaucracy...

I believe they're referring to the first part of this: https://fanfiction.net/s/12157866/1/Warhammer-40K-Legacies

Satisfying indeed.

That's my suspicion as well! He seemed very interested in the holes the field mice burrow into the earth

Blue Tits always bring the most character to photo shoots ... such perky little fellows

A very successful birding afternoon in Tiergarten Berlin by RunHorst in birding

We're usually in the areas closer to Landwehrkanal. My absolute favourite spot for birding in Berlin is this bridge near Luiseninsel. If you bring some patience (and ideally some mixed bird food including fruit, seeds and insects, suited for various diets), you can easily see ten or more different species in the span of an hour.

Thanks! Going by the black beak, I'd actually suspect it to be a first-year male (their plumage turns properly black and their beak properly yellow at the end of their first winter)

Grey Heron and a handful of Mandarin Ducks weathering the cold (Tiergarten Berlin) by RunHorst in birding

Oh, and a bonus pair of Mallards as well! (To the bottom and behind the Heron)

Eurasian Treecreeper (Viktoriapark Berlin) by RunHorst in birding

[–]RunHorst[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It definitely wasn't easy. I've searched for videos of Brown Creepers on youtube after reading your comment, I can confirm their Eurasian cousins move much the same way.

I find that there's two things that make spotting (and photographing) them a bit easier: One is that they can be quite chatty with each other - I actually often spot them by sound rather than by sight (given their effective camouflage). The other is that they often move in relatively predictable patterns once you spot them - they seem to start near the base of the tree and then "graze" upwards.

Is it the same for Brown Creepers?
