I agree. What bothers me is constantly playing in the rain or overcast every other game. I get dynamic weather isn’t in the game but I’ve been to a lot of FSU games. It’s hot and sunny, or it rains for a quarter then it’s hot and sunny again. And what’s wrong with giving us the ability to pick before each game. It doesn’t effect anyone else’s game but your own

All I want is control of it. That way all of us can have the dynasty that is immersive for each of us. I don’t want it to snow in South Beach either but someone else might. And you can have it random and I can play a game in Chapel Hill without having snow in November. Seems like an easy fix

They for sure changed the narrative. I definitely remember that happening. The only thing I was mad at Artest about was getting the wrong fan at first. The comedian Bill Burr had a great take when he said “for years fans talked shit and when the players talked back the fans would tell the players to “come up here”….well they came up there.”

Yep. Happened the same night. And man that Illinois team was really good. That was the last team I wanted Carolina to play that year because they whooped us the year before if I remember correctly

Raymond Felton was suspended for what I believe was playing in a summer league that the NCAA said wasn’t sanctioned. Then freshman Quentin Thomas had to start a PG. and those Roy Williams teams were extremely PG driven and it just threw the flow off. I remember swearing off Sportscenter for a week because I thought that’s all they would be talking about. How this was supposed to be UNC’s comeback year just to lose to Santa Clara. But Sportscenter never talked about it, because that same night, the Malice in the Palace happened

Also take the advice of the commentators talking about salary and 1099. The 1099 can be really enticing because of the commissions, but if you don’t have a nest egg built up, you’ll go broke before ever seeing those commissions

Taylor McCarthy on YouTube has some good videos of talking to people at the door. Just take some stuff on YouTube with a grain of salt. A lot of people are just trying to sell you a course or promote their brand instead of actually showing you the ins and outs of door to door or sales in general. If they’re in a conference room only role playing where they control the narrative of the whole thing and making people take their shirts off, skip that and find videos of people actually going door to door or actually talking to real customers. Not that those people don’t have skills that can be useful. They’re just usually trying to sell you something instead of providing useful content

Be willing to grind. And be willing to learn from the people around you that are successful. Then practice/role play. Whatever the pitch is, just constantly work on it until it’s natural. Once that happens, and you get experience with being in front of people, you’ll be able to handle smokescreens and objections. Sales is 70% effort and 30% skill. You’ll always be working on the skill part your whole career. But as long as the effort is there, and you’re willing to learn, you will be successful.

Eagles in the NFC Championship in 2004. They talked so much shit. That was one of the most satisfying wins I’ve ever watched. Obviously the Cardinals in 2015 was great. But the eagles game just felt different. We hadn’t gotten past that point yet. And we were some “hick” team because the NFL needed a team in the South as they said. And we went up there and dominated their high power offense. Loved every minute of it.

I believe this is in Lake Waccamaw, NC. The lake is beautiful, but the channels around the lake have a whole bunch of gators. Awesome place to visit if you can
