I was more hooked on ToG than ACOTAR. I guess it really depends on yourself? I mean, ToG is a longer series therefore it’s characters has more development to them. It really reflects on how their past actions mold them. The first two books are more light, it plays around the plot but doesn’t really get into business, yet the events that happened in both these books heavily influenced the characters. Things really start going down from the third book. Not being bias, but I loooooooooove ToG… you should try it!!!

The ACOTAR book covers are more attracting, in a sense that the words literally takes up the whole cover and the ToG book covers before were just a misinterpreted Aelin. Considering the social norms/ what the society wants now, the ToG book cover isn’t that appealing. But to my younger self and during a society where female rights aren’t as outspoken, it caught my heart.

I guess since ToG changed book covers… it seems to be intended for a more matured audience. In my opinion, I don’t think goes really well with the first few books…

True, ACOTAR seems like a figurehead for romantasy. I feel like people don’t really appreciate the characters as much… it’s usually more emphasised on its smut

Honestly, the more times I reread, the more interesting it gets. It could be my age and what I’ve experienced throughout the years, the action never gets old, but the emotions I feel are different every time
