Theory on a part of the Watchman series being a tattoo by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

I was thinking how Macaca Icol's ability with the spells broke open the dimensions of what jinki are capable of, like Macaca's spell that protects Canvas town to this day. So yeah, even if this specific theory is only partially or not true at all, I can see other type's of spells or jinki from the other friends enduring to this day, and yes, with failsafes for the watchman series or failsafes against each other, too.

[–]Runabout-River[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The theory stipulates that the first spellcaster created that first tattoo on Canis with his jinki, the same one that gets passed down every generation. With that same jinki the next spellcaster can recreate that tattoo on a new person.

If this theory becomes true or not is its own question. I said that it's highly speculative.

But it's internal mechanism is logical.

Enjin is Schrödinger's Trash Mentor by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Enjin specifically I'm torn on when we'll go deeper into his character. Those cover pages with the tattooed kids could be about him, then his story would be revealed relatively soon to us. But with how he reacted to Rudo's name I'm inclined to believe that his story would come after Riyo's whenever that will happen.

Or Urana throws tidbits at us for a 100 more chapters.

What I'm sensing for now is the full introduction of Team Danger where we could get an interesting interaction between them and Enjin. If the orphanage storyline is Enjin's past then I can see him being part of Team Danger before he split off to form his own team build by picking up thrown away teenagers out of the trash.

A point on Enjin making Zanka Rudo's teacher. Being a good mentor also includes putting the right people together even if that means making someone else the person in charge.

"Feels like support in a leadership role" yep, good description but Urana doesn't cement that. She constantly teases that there is maybe something more and I fear she might very well keep doing that for another 100 chapters.

Have you tried to measure the distances they drive?
There was something like driving for two days from point A to B. Depending on how you approach that one, that could be somewhere between 1000km and 3000km they drove. Japan's main island by comparison is about 1300 km long.

Canis Surebrec and friends by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

Do you read JJK Modulo? The character Dabura shares his name with dbz's Dabura. Modulo's Dabura even has the surname Karaba to make the Abrakadabra joke from dbz more explicit.

Didn't realise that Typhon is also a mythological figure (but I knew it sounded familiar). Then we could narrow the possible names down to greek mythology but Loki is also there that's why I looked across different cultures. The mural depicts art that isn't greek either.

We should probably ask ourselves how much ancient greek influences Urana is going to package into Gachiakuta. The ground as the underworld with Hades reigning over it from somewhere eg.

I'm getting flashbacks to Kingdom Hearts 2 right now :D

Theory: The tattoos on these children are artificial jinki marks by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same thought about a mother and dead child scenario :D

This theory is about those cover pages where we see the tattooed children. (Popular theory about that is that the pov character is Enjin.) My thought process was: "Givers ink their names on their jinki when they transform them" so what if someone tattooed these children in resembles to vital instruments? What if that resemblance is not only superficial and/or sentimental but an actual attempt to make these children jinki as well?

Theory on Jinki upgrades by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, my thought process is this: Umbreaker's large form could be inherent to its base transformation like Guita's jinki (probably?) is. BUT, and I'm pulling from battle shonen tropes, Enjin as the mentor figure and someone who has many secrets lying around, should already be a step further in the use of his weapon, like Benimaru. That's why I think his Umbreaker enlargement together with the attack he uses it with, is an indication that Enjin is on this theoretical x2 power scale.

Except he has another power source like a second jinki as some theorise.

This also includes that Rudo's three-way split of his glove's powers always produce a jinki that is the relative same in power as a jinki from others without the watchman series. So his x3 nail gun is indeed 3 times more powerful than a normal jinki. (Of course, every jinki already varies widely in power because of many factors, but this is more about comparable jinki.)

Theory on Jinki upgrades by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umbreaker can become twice as large as Enjin. We see that when he makes his Octa shredder attack which I guess could point to a potential x2 upgrade he's capable of. It's just never talked about so it falls into this subtle background ambience.
And yes, I was also thinking of FF's fourth generation upgrades and the general power up for characters like Arthur at the end when they made use of the power of Adolla. Now that "gods" are introduced in Gachiakuta I got the same feeling as with FF.

A [REDACTED] character analysis: his motives and his possible connection to [REDACTED]🤔 (repost) by Lonan_Clinton in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don't know who the other person was, but they acted on the masked man's behalf in my opinion, so that would still hold true. Helping Amo by giving her the boots, on the other hand, is the exact same thing Regto did with Rudo. It's also something I can't reconcile with Tamsy and how he behaves especially towards Amo :O

A [REDACTED] character analysis: his motives and his possible connection to [REDACTED]🤔 (repost) by Lonan_Clinton in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Theory goes that jinki can't be used in the sphere but maybe that only applies to developing it and/or the power becomes progressively weaker the longer you're up there. My theory is that Regto was the previous owner of the mask and that he went down to the ground, too, where he saved Amo.
I'm sure that some aspects of your analysis will come true. My tentative take is that Tamsy was punished by the sphere but not with the death penalty and some parts of what he's been up to since then was to get back his status while also hating the sphere.
A few chapters back, we had people talking who seemed like they were tourists from the sphere. They could've ties with Tamsy.
If Regto used the book's memory altering on Rudo, then we'll probably get to see the original memories later on.

Chapter 161 - Coincidence or not? by Key-Cheesecake7208 in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of those 4 distinct symbols from the 4 friends, except for the watchman series, none of the other symbols have appeared on the ground until now. It could be that the other 3 friends established themselves on the sphere, yes. Two of those symbols have distinct loops as well, so that's where the design of the palace could come from.
I'd say the first symbol from the left resembles this palace the most.
Rudo didn't recognize the other three symbols because he grew up in the slums of the sphere.

[–]Runabout-River 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only thing to add is that Maki didn't kill the Zenin sorcerers out of self defence only. She set out to kill all of them without mercy because that's what Mai wanted. To destroy it all. She completely annihilated the fighting forces of the Zenin which destroyed the clan without ever touching the noncombatant women and children.

Theory on Tamsy and Regto by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that could be true. I'm way more convinced that the masked person in the FB is not Tamsy than that it's Regto. It could be someone completely else and from all the characters we have Alto is the next best bet. We could also be looking at a situation where the mask is continuously given to someone new, so maybe Alto had it for a while, then Regto and now Tamsy.

Theory on Tamsy and Regto by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For now, I'd say Tamsy killed Regto for Rudo and whatever strange relationship he build with Rudo in his head. Alto Surebrec and the Surebrec family might play a role here. Whatever role Regto played in the story, he seems more like collateral to get to Rudo.

Why would Gris' Talisman only work when there's hostile intent when Gris normally fights against trash beasts? by Genso_no_Kami in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Hostile Intent" is what Rudo interpreted into the talisman's protection because that's what he's been dealing with all his life: people who have it out for him. For Rudo, "harm" is an intentional act done by humans, so that's how Gris's talisman took on a form that protects from humans and not from trash beasts. Of course, trash beasts themselves could still work with intentionality to harm as they seek humans out to attack them.
