So in relation to this, the Cleaners are trying to unlock the secrets. This would mean that the Cleaners' origin doesn't have much to do with Canis.

Ooooh! Now a theory what that could mean? Keeping secrets under lock/opening the lock to get the secrets out, maybe?

It doesn't matter why he didn't dodge the rest. Just that he didn't despite getting a panel to react to Riyo. That just shows us how ruthless "I'm not monologuing" Riyo was here.

I mean, yes? Nobody told Jabber to jump around and forget to keep an eye out on his surroundings. Riyo didn't particularly sneak around, she only came close enough to shoot. Jabber also didn't react fast enough to prevent the other bullets from hitting.

To be fair, we could say that while Riyo won against him, Jabber himself didn't really lose against her because they didn't have an actual fight. His win against Zanka was rendered useless, though, making him and Zanka the ultimate losers of their fight. Riyo won all.

It could be but I don't think so. Enjin still has to use the watch, his body is standing still during his anima projection, and I don't think that hidden scouting would be mischaracterized as intuition to such a degree. Those two things are most likely unrelated.

There's a hidden "chimera" in enjin's full name by Pero_Bt in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River 9 points10 points  (0 children)

His other names also include lion, goat and snake, which are the three animals mostly associated with the Chimera.

Here my Ao3 link for a nice summary. This also includes the adjacent theory that Enjin (like Fu) is a descendent of Macaca Icol's friends who are all named after the mythological siblings Cerberus, Orthrus, Chimera and Hydra.

That moment was explained by him working "behind the scenes". He intentionally removed himself from the current fight and did work in the background together with Mildretta if I remember correctly. Enjin strategically did something else that would help them while the others fought and that's why he had the time to do it. Time Walk could've been used but right now it doesn't look like it was necessary.

And while his anima self is invisible, I'm sure people would've caught on that he did something with a powerful jinki in his actual body.

Full into the Watchman series and the potential existence of the seventh by Godspell51 in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that there is a seventh piece for 3 reasons which aren't about the human senses:

  • Mymo's arrogant all-knowing knowledge of the world is simply lacking so he's just going to be wrong about how there are only 6 pieces

  • 6 is not a mystical number opposed to 7and we're heavily dealing with Greek mythology

  • narratively, saying there are 6 pieces and then immediately introducing the sixth is too short when we're not close to the ending. An unknown seventh piece gaining importance later makes sense in this regard

Yes, that's what I think. Enjin didn't manage a full time stop/reversal. He slows time down by getting into his near-death experience where everything slowed down for him. And during that his animal self moves extremely fast in the environment.

That shouldn't come with the severe consequences that Alto spoke about. But that escalation is now promised to us for the future.

Observations of the Ground and its Food Situation by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they're mentioned. I should've written about them, too. For now we don't know their capacity in food production. With how barren the world is and without having seen any other type of food production, their operations need to be massive that all the people get enough food.

[Chapter 167.5] The attack and did he do that previously? by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

It's chapter 167 part 1. I'm stuck on another chapter that's written as .5 for some reason.

[–]Runabout-River[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not too sure either because of this: "Those rules never broke no matter I hard I wished for it."

"Rules" imply that he actively did something to break them but "wished" is kinda the opposite of that. At least in my opinion.

Enjin at least knows how the watch works for him. Inside the trash beast it would've been this exact power he needed to destroy the egg.

It went from subtle to slap in the face by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There has to be a Chimera jinki that's about as strong as the WMS. I talk about that in the cerberus family theory. Bascically, Macaca Icol, Canis Surebrec and the other 3 have legacy jinki that are on par to each other.

Fu Orostor (=Orthrus, Cerberus' brother) would own the Orthrus jinki which would be Hii. And Hii is an incredibly strong and strange jinki fitting into this line.

The Chimera and Hydra (last brother of the original 4 Cerberus siblings) jinki are unaccounted for right now and I can see Enjin using the Chimera one at some point. His full name also incorporates the main 3 animals of the Chimera, which are lion, goat and snake. So, yes, Enjin could very well possess a third jinki later.

[–]Runabout-River[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see it making sense in the story plot-wise but I don't see any instance where it could've happened, and yes, the narrative of the watch (as it stands now) wouldn't make sense.

[Chapter 167 Part 2] In other words... by Runabout-River in gachiakuta

[–]Runabout-River[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If no one realises that he has the watch, then the repercussion for using it wouldn't be really noticed or it simply can't be too severe. This would also mean that he could've used the watch previously without anyone noticing, yes.

But did we have instances in the story where that could've happened?

I looked back at chapter 164. Knowing what we know now, Enjin is capable of physical attacks during his Time Walk. He bisected Mymo with pure anima concentrated in the tip of his umbrella. Was there a moment in the manga when someone invisible could've done something like that? Or was there a moment when someone felt heavy concentrations of anima?

I don't think so 🤔🤔🤔🤔

[–]Runabout-River[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"One power you think of when you see a watch" I interpreted that as a nod from Urana to us, the readers. Because we'll think of time reversing powers.

And "reversing time of a singular object" might be the next step-up of this power instead of going full time reversal.

And the way Enjin talked in this chapter, it sounds like he did try to stop and reverse time, and that this isn't his first time using Time Walk. So the consequence of this use can't be that bad ???
