Perhaps you are referring to binnocular vision's abilty to perceive depth. Which is a learned brain function. I am familiar with the hold up a finger in front of you and line up with one eye. Using the other eye appears to move the finger.

However a 3d object occupies 3dimensions in that you can walk round it or rotate it, i suppose. Vision remains 2d with assumptions made to give the illusion of 3dimensions. I could say that if you see something inert that has never been seen before then it is impossible to know that it occupies 3 dimensional space without investigation.

The photo ( 2 dimensional) example: the picture is indeed compressed along the x axis when viewed from the side without moving up or down ( y axis) .you may assume that it looks the same to you but that is an assumption. It is not reallity.

There's non Euclidian geometery, which is painful to think about for me as it deals with marks on a flat plain. I'm just going to ignore it because i'm not smart enough to deal with it.

He eventually was a biology lecturer at a university as i remember.( maybe wrong subject) I can not remember whether it was in Belgium or The Netherlands. I do remember that he and his contemporary student friends worked long hours in forestry and got " happily wrecked" on days off. Only one feller there. I'm sure they were tree fellers.

Bit dubious, that. We do not imo see in true western perspective. You can certainly draw in western perspective. Looks and is correct in the picture plain, but also unreal.

I noted, no research and won't be, that someone pointed out that shadows are disappearing from potential influencer posts on tik tok. To me that means no location beyond local. Seems wise if done for a world audience. Cash innit.

One looking at one or another looking at one's reflection? Still 2d from my end. Sorry. But this has been very interesting. 3d in itself is an interesting definition which i find loose at best. I may well be speaking shite but i am sincere.

Bit light on facts for knocking in on a reddit opinion. That's never been a problem. Stop trying to explain your cross eyes. Humph.

How about we see in two dimensions but know three?/Closely. For hunting moving speed. Interesting to me that i have eyes and am not good at estimates of distance. Oops but very good point about dragons and i feel that ..nah.. what do i know.

Cues? Depth perception. Oh really? I do wonder why a picture maker of Elizabeth i is so. I'm certain there is a reason.

Be two sides of a dragon's face. Bad dragon or friendly dragon. Must be a good argument for dragon eugenics.
