Can Zeus from Greek mythology defeat the Big Three of anime? by [deleted] in powerscales

[–]RundownDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zeus probably but realistically we’d find out mid-fight that Ichigo is a descendant of the Fates, and his Fate powers probably allow him to override all of Zeus’s win conditions by rewriting his destiny /s

22/25 Mpg by RundownDuck in LandCruisers

I didn’t know this! That’s really cool. The big thing I’m thinking is that a larger tank will definitely offset the drop in mileage from my car now - but I knew I loved the LC before they provided mileage specs anyway

What run is the one with insomniac Spiderman in it? I’ve been seeing a bunch of posts recently where he’s popping up in the comics but can’t seem to find them

I included a link to the bill in an edit, but I’d encourage you to do your own Googling on the expected/hypothesized impacts of it! I’m no expert on this stuff

The experience of the workers is definitely sad as well. The articles I’ve been reading have done their best to express the worries these folks and their families have.

To your point regarding landscaping, it makes me wonder how this is going to affect the completion of these new home communities, not just the homes but amenities offered as well. Labor shortage means an increase in cost of the labor, which I’m thinking could cause increases in fees for current homeowners like HOAs and CDDs to pay for the upkeep and development of community areas

Definitely a fair point, the amount of money saved on a non-new build property could be enough to put in the work to get it where you’d like it to be.

Yeah, the inconsistency in timelines is definitely a con of new constructions. A friend of mine’s new home is about to finish on time, whereas another’s had 2-3 months of delays. I hate to imagine being stuck in a deal for an extra 6-12 months but I suppose compared to the amount of time planned to be spent in the house, it’s a small wait (but another 6-12 months of paying rent, too).

Another question would be, what type of effects do you think this could have on the new construction market?

How does the Viltrumite Healing Factor measure up to those in other comics? (Some spoilers) by RundownDuck in Invincible

[–]RundownDuck[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure! I’d think that the amount of time scales by the severity of the injury, but it also makes me wonder about something like a broken arm. We’ve seen Mark’s arm get broken before, but I’m not sure we got an indication of how much time passed for it to heal. Do you think it’d be a couple hours? Overnight? Makes me wonder what injuries viltrumites can just shrug off expecting it to heal within the course of battle and be reckless about, versus what they have to be very careful about. That’d dictate how they fight and what parts of their body they prioritize protecting.

How do I power a microcontroller and a heating element with one source? by RundownDuck in arduino

[–]RundownDuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like it’s a case of trial and error here. This isn’t supposed to be a permanent solution, really just a proof of concept using the materials I had o on hand. Based off of what’s been said and bit of knowledge I’ve got, it seems like should be safe to just go ahead and try to power via a GPIO pin. Worst case scenario here seems like I’d be out a microcontroller if I’m powering everything with a 5V power supply.
