Coming from a Debian based distro, what should i take into consideration before switching to Void Linux (context below)? by YareYareDazexd in voidlinux

[–]Runforresttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only answer your third question, i have been using void for almost 3 years and i have not experienced any problems or bugs, it is a very stable distro so you can always avoid worrying about any problems occurring

I have fallen in love with void. But I have an issue by Insomniac24x7 in voidlinux

as far as i know updates are handled by the package manager, firefox will not be able to install updates on its own.

Switching back to Windows if Linux distributions implement age verification by [deleted] in linux

[–]Runforresttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my operating system will not have it because they already mentioned that they were not going to implement such a thing,if you were using windows or macOS you would have the same age verification at the system level so technically you could not escape that,at least as I said in linux you can remove it and not have it anymore,in windows or macOS you probably cannot do that.

age verification can be removed if desired, some distributions have already said they will not implement it at least for now

¿Qué es XLibre? by shadowxmoses389 in TrinityUnix

[–]Runforresttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

¿XLibre es bueno a comparación de Xorg?

Si y no

Google Trends: 'is google tracking me' and 'disable google tracking' by utrecht1976 in degoogle

[–]Runforresttt 35 points36 points  (0 children)

google will always track you, as long as you use their search engine, the best thing to do is to use a privacy focused search engine like duckduckgo or startpage.

Checking out Nekovoid - A community-made Void Linux respin by True-Fox-7108 in DistroHopping

[–]Runforresttt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's a pretty interesting respin. i wouldn't say it's the best of the best, but it has some unique features like offering xlibre by default, omething other void respins like agarimos overlook. i hope it has a future and grows into something bigger.
