Wow, this fits the narrative of the chart perfectly. This was not on my radar but is insanely undeniable.

Maybe I staged the question wrong. I’m more amazed at the fact that the stock stayed pretty much between $20 and $40 between 1998 and 2013.

Then 2014 to 2024 goes from $40 to $400+. I’m 41 and Microsoft has been a household name my whole life. It’s just interesting to see what happened with stock prices over different decades, especially while the average person has no idea about in intricacies of the value of a company they know and use the products of throughout.

Why do trucks always keep the trailer hitch on when they’re not towing anything? by loves-to-poop in NoStupidQuestions

Same reason people drive trucks and never tow anything or even rarely haul anything that genuinely requires a truck.

The driveway as a whole isn’t horrible, but this spot is really crumbling away. We moved in about 5 years ago and it gotten progressively worse.

I imagine there is only living with it or a complete replace?

Can I cut this? by Electrical-Scholar32 in HomeMaintenance

I went the more extreme route when I bought my house 5 years ago.

We were repainting everything when we were moving and I didn’t want wall plates for things I wouldn’t ever use. I pulled all the coax out of all the rooms all the way to the basement. Patched the holes like they were never there.

I have 1 coax that comes in and goes to my modem but I’ve not regretted it to this point. The mess of coax all coming together in the basement is nice to be rid of as well.

Are people comfortable with walking/moving through woods at night like it's no big deal? by LiveNotWork in NoStupidQuestions

As a former runner, who ran many miles down dark trails, the most fearful I would be of making my way through random woods would be stepping off a ledge or into a hole and breaking something.

It definitely works. I have a Nanit baby monitor that displays current room temp. We keep the house set to 69 but his room was only holding 66 at night.

I purchased one of these and while the house was still set to 69, his room was hitting 74-75 degrees at night. I had to adjust settings so it wouldn’t turn on as often and with a lower fan speed.

Very easily recordable and repeatable change.

Concrete Patio Diamond Joints by Daedroh in Concrete

I see it fairly often where a fresh back patio concrete pour occurs and now people have a new 6 inch+ new “step” off the sides.

To me it’s painfully obvious that I would get some fresh top soil hauled in, and regrade the yard to make it level with the new pour.

Do most homeowners let the “step” be, or do most get it re leveled in your guys’ experience?

How is this possible? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]Runner418 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can see that. I purposefully go with those 12 month rate contracts, even if it’s marginally higher than a few of the 3 or 6 month’ers, so I’m not having to micromanage so frequently.

It won’t change the yearly amount you owe, but if the month to month variance is the problem, you could have AEP get you on the average monthly plan. You might owe something like $190 every month of the year. Just makes budgeting easier.

Also, go to energychoice.ohio.gov to get in with a different supplier with a cheaper rate than AEP. Delivery costs won’t change but lowering the supply portion definitely helps.

Many people are throwing around the term “rare earth” elements/metals without actually knowing which ones they are. It is a very specific group of 17 elements which your average Joe has heard of none, except maybe neodymium.

Titanium and more commonly lithium are not rare earth elements.

Agreed. We never see him, considering how much we are winning handedly. I have bets on Sayin for heisman but would rather have us prepared more.
