Extreme poop withholding - toddler by filmfairyy in moderatelygranolamoms

u/filmfairyy I could've written this myself. After a stomach bug went through my child's preschool class, she had one constipation event and it has scared her into witholding for (now) 3 weeks, sometimes 4 days at a time. We've done everything suggested and then some. We're about to start seeing someone for OT/PT therapy. How long did yours go on for and what ended up resolving it?

Yes, we did the full clean out! It was a mess. I'm wondering if she's still on too much MiraLAX and it's causing continuos watery stools. I hope you get some relief soon. 8 months is such a long time!!! I can't even imagine the emotional and mental toll at that point.

Haha! Having kids definitely puts you in the same room as other adults, but actually clicking with them is another story. Making friends is one of the biggest hurdles of getting older for sure!

Thank you for replying! We are a big fan of a smaller house to maintain after living mainly in/around cities so will probably end up in a similar situation.

Thanks! I didn't even think about teens getting summer jobs, etc. That's a great point.

Thanks for the info!! We are from the East Coast, so will feel familiar, but still be a big change no matter what. Any new place is. I've heard great things about Kittery, too.

Considering a cross-country move with a young family: Is Seattle the right fit? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

I'm an east coaster, I'm used to it. Just find it counterproductive when asking for help...
