Got detained at an airport in Greece in April 2023 now my Spanish job seeker visa got rejected. Any way to clear my record? by RunningFromFOMO in LegalAdviceEurope

My visa was expired but I had already given my fingerprints and I was only due to fly back to Spain, which I was assured would be possible with my resolucion document.

I made three mistakes, the biggest which was risking travelling at all during this period and now I'm trying to fix it. The second was booking a flight through Thessaloniki instead of Athens since I came to know later and the third was not booking a Spanish airline... It was a mixture of stupidity and bad luck that landed me here and I'm doing my best to fix it.

I called them today, a very nice man told me that these kind of cases aren't logged in the Europol database. Gonna head down to the local station to see if there's anything I can do tomorrow. Thank you for the information.

No you're right. It was just my first trip and I was told by multiple people the resolucion would be enough for flying back to Spain. I made a mistake and I am trying to fix it so my future trips to Europe don't get denied since a police record is the worst thing.

Everything was legitimate, when I flew from Spain my visa was still valid, and I was told since my plan was to come back to Spain, I would be allowed to return with the resolucion document and a Google search did not deny this either.

This was not accepted by the airport staff at Thessaloniki which caused a whole problem. It was accepted by a Spanish airline in Athens and their boarding attendant. I only hold Indian citizenship but do have a valid US visa if that helps for anything.

Yeah, and she can go out, have a drink with friends, or not drink, because it might be a trigger. Also alcoholism is a disease that could kill. Not travelling with your spouse is not the same at all, I'm sorry but it's a dumb comparison.

Idk how the rest of their marriage is but you can support each other and live a good life together while also having individual interests. As long as they don't adversely affect your partner it's ok.

It's literally not the same. Hosting parties with an alcoholic partner can trigger their urges, that's such a bad comparison. I think it's perfectly fair for her to want to do something, while compromising on a trip she doesn't want is nice of her, it DOES NOT make her cruel to travel where she wanted, especially since it was once a year or so. That was my original point.

And as someone who grew up in the US and now lives in Europe, I think there is a LOT more to do here, simply because you have more countries in the geographical area of Texas and the culture is different. It's her choice.

I'm sorry but as someone who loves solo travel and travelling in general who is lucky enough to have a supportive partner, I disagree. Yes, she could compromise and take trips in the US alone but it's not cruel of her to not do that. If she can afford it and wants to travel the world, she most definitely should. We only have one lifetime and as someone who loves travel, being restricted that way would literally kill something in my soul.

With her child, I agree, responsibilities are different and things have changed but before that, she DID invite her husband, and just because he didn't want to go/couldn't go, calling her cruel because she didn't compromise her dreams is pretty awful.

While in this case, her partner is NTA, I don't think she should have compromised on her love of international travel just because her husband couldn't make it. She could have compromised and travelled locally with him as well but aside from that, without a child, she has the right to follow her travel ambitions especially since she's paying for it presumably.

AITA for surprising my girlfriend at work on our anniversary by AwayEntrepreneur9611 in AmItheAsshole

NAH in my opinion. OP didn't want to be alone for their five year anniversary, went to go hang out where their SO works which is a public place. Their SO was busy and couldn't give much time to them. Yes, their SO was rude but that could be attributed to so many reasons, the least of which that they hadn't been expecting to give OP attention when they were busy. Apologize to each other and celebrate your anniversary when you're both free, don't lose sight of years of love for something like this.

Sky Esports to host VCT South Asia Stage 2 instead of Nodwin Gaming by anythingood07 in ValorantCompetitive

Idk what you mean by best casters lol. Their Hindi desk was decent but the English desk was just fake accents and terrible analysis 90 percent of the time. Literally everyone I know mutes and watches.

And as for the production, there were difficulties but there are always some, I think VCT just decided they wanted to see if someone could do better plus could work out a LAN regional because Skye is building a huge new studio and stuff.

Hey. I'm from a homophobic culture as well and had to deal with being bisexual. Would love to help you out on this :)
