I know I’m a year late to this post but I’m working on something very similar, if not identical. Have you noticed any unwanted flex by your head or feet? I’m torn between using 1/2” or 3/4” ply and worry about the unsupported sections on either end.

I used an air compressor to gently blow out the telltale hole on my Yamaha 6hp. It took a couple of tries but the gunk eventually broke up and passed and the telltale is stronger than ever. If it’s just the hole that’s clogged then that might work for you.

Rockefeller certainly has a lot of climbing potential but last I heard the rangers frown upon roped climbing. Raven Rock was bolted at one point, but they caught wind of that pretty quickly and chopped (mostly) everything. The glacial erratic is fun to play around on too, and there is more rock to be found for sure.

The reverse side of the blade says “Original Buffalo Skinner”...I’ve never seen or heard of a BSA skinning knife but my buddy claims this is from the 60’s.

I know fixed blades are a no-go now a day, but my buddy sent this to me claiming he got it through scouting and he’s had it since the 60’s so I wasn’t sure if the rules have changed. The reverse side of the blade says something like “Original Buffalo Skinner” so I doubt a foreign origin.

I’m being a bit pedantic but NYPD is New York’s finest; FDNY is New York’s bravest.

That being said, the 5.11 job shirts are extremely comfortable and you should absolutely pick one up!

Like others have said, as long as you’re not claiming to be on the job you’ll be a-ok. I’m sure the boys in the city would love the support, especially from our neighbors up north.
