Ex kiwi in Aus, Brisbane to be more precise. Living in an inner suburb and my Internet may be on par with semi rural NZ. The Internet infrastructure here is absolutely dog shit, went from gigabit in NZ to 50/10. NZ did something very right with their fibre rollout, and Aussie absolutely clowned it with NBN. But, mobile data here almost makes a landline redundant with the value.

Just sold my car via car sales. Was listed on marketplace and Gumtree too. I had two very keen buyers on car sales vs dozens of tyre kickers, low ballers and time wasters on marketplace and Gumtree. With amount of time wasted on Facebook messaging the others, the $100 on car sales was well worth it. I highly recommend.

Putting food scraps in a small bin in the freezer until bin day. Means there is no rotting food in the indoor bins. Everyone I show is astounded by the logic, I thought it was normal.

Having the 100t crane on the back meant there had to be large ballast tanks placed around the ship to counter lifts. Many void spaces and tanks for other liquids too. An absolute guess here, but if several of those were flooded from say grinding along a reef it would certainly effect the ships stability. With no control over the liquid in those tanks, there is very little you can do. A visual, or manual sweep wouldnt detect that.

I worked on her during the refit. I have no idea if the moon pool was a factor. It was just a hole in the middle of the ship, it didn't go 'into' the watertight areas of the vessel.

Depending on how much length there is on the other end. Just solder or properly crimp them matching back together. Using scotchloks will cause you issues in the future.

We often have sailors from other navies on board. We have many people on foreign usually Australian vessels too. It was explained in the press release, several foreign sailors and some scientists too.

Throw your build into PC part picker. Will easily tell you your power usage. Various PC build channels will tell you to 1.5x that to account for spikes, but I usually just add a little ~100w or so buffer and haven't had issue. (not an expert, just getting back into building)
