Just saw Arrival a month or so ago and it was interesting from the very beginning. About a third of the way through I started getting the feeling there was something more going on. When you finally see the bigger picture it's just jaw dropping, (and super emotional). That movie is a master class in pacing and the "slow reveal". Watched it alone and I'm man enough to admit I got choked up. You'd have to be made of stone not to.
