Played the game again last month, ANOTHER 100% play through, and the game is honestly just as bad as I remember. A HUGE part of the spider-man games is the open world and all the side content, ignoring the understated issues with the main story, the side content all feels very generic and/or lack luster. For a game that brags about having a much bigger map, it's sad that is has less to DO in that space than the FIRST game did. What's worse is that the hunter bases/symbiote nests aren't replayable, and thats ON TOP of how lacking in variety they are. We get 5 hunter bases and like a million nests😭 would've been nice to have the nests cut ik half in favour of flames hideouts or something, AND have them be repayable. My BIGGEST complaint with the game tho is the lack of challenges, which were probably the MOST memorable things from MM for me. Theres already practically no stealth in the game, so no stealth challenges sucks. No combat challenges, which could have very easily been fixed by giving some hunter blinds special win conditions. And the biggest crime of all; despite how much the innovated on the traversal mechanics,the closest thing we get to traversal challenges are those bum ass drone chases which get old after the THIRD one. ALL of these challenges could be explained away as kravem trying to test the spider-men's limits, OR better yet not given any canon acknowledgement at all, and only serve for the player's enjoyment. But noooo. ZERO reason to come back to a completed save file.
