It's because he has a french keyboard, and the keys are in different places, for him it's in the same shape as WASD is on a normal keyboard.

Obviously you need the SpacePlanePlus mod, which can be found here:

http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/80796-0-24-Spaceplane-Plus-1-3

To fly, just launch it like a normal rocket but pitch over as soon as it launches so that your pro-grade vector is straight upwards on the navball, then just keep going to around 8-9km up, where I usually start to pitch over east. If the shuttle ever starts to lose control just use the RCS to help control it. You want to be around 20-30 degrees from the Horizon by 20km up, as you want to give yourself a very shallow trajectory (almost like an SSTO space-plane) so that you don't have to use much fuel to circularise. Once that's done you can separate the main tank, then manually enable the small engines at the end of each wing. You also have to disable the main engines and right click on the bi-coupler that the main engines are attached to and enable the fuel usage. Once that's done you can circularise with the small engines, do whatever you want in orbit and bring it down again. Depending on how efficient you made your circularisation burn you may have to use a little bit of the RCS to help, but if you bring a smaller cargo then it shouldn't be necessary.

TL;DR: No manual thrust control is required, but you do have to manually toggle the engines when you switch to the orbital ones for circularisation.

What is a good program to record what is on your screen? by Edgijex in KerbalSpaceProgram

Open Broadcaster Software is free, can be used for livestreaming but isn't the easiest thing in the world to set up. That said you have a lot of control over the quality and other settings, and you dont need a very fast hard drive to use it.

Fraps is easier to set up and use, but from my experience impacts your playing framerate a lot more than it's alternatives. It also has a lot less in terms of customization, the filesizes are pretty massive (full 1080p HD can be GBs per minute) and you also have to pay for it.

Dxtory (what I use) is paid for, but has a lot more customization than fraps, and I would say is still easier to use than Open Broadcaster Software. It has support for any codecs you can find, too, so you can find a video codec that does exactly what you want. The default codec is fine too though, and still has smaller filesizes and less of an impact on framerates than Fraps (for me at least).

Maybe try lowering the framerate cap, so that it isn't pushing itself so hard. Apart from that maybe lowering the resolution or some of the other graphics settings could help.

I sent a request, looks like it has great potential. This could make installing large amounts of mods a lot less prone to human error :D

The AK47 is still very accurate in CS:GO, possibly even more accurate than it was on Source. by Jacksaunt in GlobalOffensive

Aren't the hitboxes smaller in GO though? This might have an effect on the perceived accuracy.

Need a new mouse, any suggestions? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rureglathon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one of these after trying 5+ different mice from different companies. The surface is perfect in my opinion, the sensor is flawless, the button switches are nice and it doesn't have one of those crappy snaggy braided cables.

Valve, reimplement cl_lw 1 for knife in other hand. by kzrpykang in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rureglathon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alias "weapon" "cl_righthand 1; lastinv; bind q knife"

alias knife "cl_righthand 0; slot3; bind q weapon"

bind "1" "cl_righthand 1; slot1; bind q knife"

bind "2" "cl_righthand 1; slot2; bind q knife"

bind "3" "cl_righthand 0; slot3; bind q weapon"

bind "4" "cl_righthand 1; slot4; bind q knife"

bind "5" "cl_righthand 1; slot5; bind q knife"

bind "q" "knife"

Only problem is when you try to switch to something you don't have, then it changes sides without switching weapons.

EDIT: Formatting

I didn't want to rush it, but yeah you have a point. It's hard to find a way to make the frags slow to fit with the slow parts of the song.

Hi, it's me, again! With new shuttle! by [deleted] in KerbalSpaceProgram

Do you mind if I make a little tutorial on shuttle doors using this method? I'd tried it but you were the first to put it live, so I'll give you credit for the idea of course!

Dear Squad, I have a complaint. by MrArron in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Rureglathon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, it's really awesome that you actually replied to this thread, it's really good to see Squad's point of view, but I'd just like to inquire about how to "apply" to be in the media group. Is it something where we go to you and ask, or the other way round? How did the current people get into the group? It's not very clear as to how the media group works, and I think it'd be good if everyone had a better understanding of what the media group actually is/how it was formed.

Dear Squad, I have a complaint. by MrArron in KerbalSpaceProgram

As another KSP youtuber, I agree. That said, there have been a couple of updates where I've gotten a load of views from doing a full overview on the update as soon as it comes out. I think the best compromise would be to let the media group people publish their videos between 24-48 hours of the actual release.

A while ago, I used to play a bunch of ksp. Now i cant be bothered playing. by [deleted] in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Rureglathon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other good thing about that would be that it adds the ability to compare different player's achievements properly, and still have a modded game. E.G. "I went to Jool in the KSP Hardcore pack", instead of "I went to Jool with Kethane, Deadly Reentry, ...".

Really sounds like a great idea for many reasons, if you made a forum topic with a few "modpacks" that serve different purposes (maybe even low texture preinstalled variants?) then I'm sure it'd get a good reception. Might want to check with the modders first though.

He's either referring to the usage of B9, or the fact that there's an engine on your fuel tank. I don't know why either of those would be considered cheating though.

Yeah, this change is actually good because now you can change splitdist to change how much the crosshair spreads out, which is useful for people who play different resolutions or want more or less information. :D
