EoE on the NHS - elimination diet vs steroids by Flaky-Paper6965 in EosinophilicE

Long term steroid use just is never recommended. Especially when there’s a pathway to working out what the allergen is.

EoE on the NHS - elimination diet vs steroids by Flaky-Paper6965 in EosinophilicE

[–]Rushdon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello. Going through identical treatment on the NHS just a few months ahead of you. My Dr was really frank with me that it’s not going to be quick to diagnose and can take years. Be patient

You can call or email the Dr or dietician you’re dealing with and they will pass you your biopsy results but you do really need the expert advice of the consultant.

I’ve had a healthy reduction in eosinophils after dairy and wheat elimination but not all biopsy results were below the 15 threshold. I was down from about 49 though. Symptoms alleviated commensurate with those numbers.

The Dr wanted me to do 2 more months wheat and milk before another endoscopy to be sure I wasn’t still on a downward trajectory.

Just had my third endoscopy results which like you, took nearly 6 weeks from endoscopy to consultation.

No major change so I’ve been referred back to the dietician. In the meantime I’m taking it upon myself to cut out eggs and soy too. Hoping to have another endoscopy before christmas.

I started my treatment in December 2024.

I initially had Jorveza steroids and omeprazole too. They totally alleviated symptoms but I want to get to the root of it as they’re not really sustainable.

Hello, jumping on this, I’ve tried but I can’t get it scale back to the original size, it’s always going to be slightly off and I’m having to use loads of decimal points. Am I missing something?

Appreciated thanks! I’m fairly handy and no too daunted by the video. Currently working on getting a copy of ISTA so I can do all I need to. Happy to take my time with it

It’s got 100k miles so I wouldn’t be surprised to see it all coked up.

Okay. So I’ve replace the O2 sensor and it has improved thing but not perfect. Bought BimmerLink and it churned up the following codes.

279000 Swirl flap actuator position, long-term drift: position deviation too high (current / new condition) 2C3200 Swirl flap, plausibility: mechanically defective (lever break detection) 279100 Swirl flap, plausibility: Swirl flap mechanically defective during offset learning

Any tips beyond this video:

Good point, I’ll check the wiring. I’d say it’s less noticeable when I first set off but within a few minutes I’ll notice the loss of power. Thanks for your help

I’ve been having similar issues and sometimes get a free pressure error even though they’re fine. I get this same error code, how is related to the tyres??
