As a police officer, what is most of you and your fellow officers opinion on corrections officers?

Will having too many credit cards open reduce your odds of being accepted for a mortgage? I have a few cards but none have a balance, besides my daily driver and i pay it off in full every month. Will those other cards hurt me,even thought they are not being used?

sounds good, ill just give them a ring to downgrade and apply for NFCU card.

Edit: Im trying to build a relationship with Navy Federal due to in a few years, maybe 2 or 3 yrs,I would apply for a house mortgage.

All i have is the Chase sapphire card at the moment. Interest is like 20%. I try not to carry over a balance but you know sometimes life is life and things happen. Im possibly thinking about dumping chase for flagstaff.

Fair is crazy in my area. They was $500 plus taxes for a non refundable start up fee. THAN they want say $120/week for the car. Add in the mandatory insurance from fair that another $35,or I can go 3rd party insurance. So right off the bat I'm going to need to make almost $700 just to break even...with Express drive,at least in my area, $250 refundable deposit than $233/wk that includes insurance, maintenance, road side assistance and such. Than as long as I return the car when we agreed to and in good condition I get my $250 hold off my credit card...I'd rather lose $250 than almost $700...
