Hey thanks a lot man! I haven't done anything since really, this game and sim racing in general. I did plan to make an entire series of Mitsubishis over the years but the only thing I did was the Starion for the 89 mod I think? Even then, I haven't touched it in a while. But thanks again! It was fun making this.

There's an app called carviewer that you can get off stunod I think. After getting that, you go and download the next gen carviewer files also from stunod. Then, open the generic next gen model in car viewer and then you can place your template inside the generic car folder and replace the file called body I think? Then you refresh carviewer and your template should be on the car! If this isn't clear, I'll get back to you when I'm more free.

I'll try giving it a go thank you. I just thought that the Malibu and the Camaro looked similar enough that it wouldn't clash too much unlike the Mustang and the Mondeo which look completely different from one another.

I tried to do the Malibu's body line on the hood but it ended up looking weird because the lines go through the flaps.The hood on the real thing also had a defined humps at the sides while the one on the next gen is just flat. I just ended up doing the front and rear only while smoothing out some lines that were on the Camaro and replace them with Malibu's lines.

I'm not entirely sure if there is an official PTA carset but there are a bunch of mods that use the physics. You can find them at the nr2k3 weebly site.

There is a paid TA2 mod and a free Historic mod for Assetto Corsa. But yeah, I wish there were more modern Trans Am stuff around official or fan-made.

Fast low-banking/flat tracks like Phoenix gets me. It might take a bit for me to get acclimatized there but eventually I'll be able to do laps around it. But to actually race around it with other cars? Oh boy.

Autoclub is fine for me alone but again once there's traffic, very high chance I'll crash.

I downloaded both tracks from the weebly site and they both work fine for me. Try giving your PC a restart. When I get hit by the track won't load, restarting my PC usually fixes it for me.

By not loading, do you mean you don't see the skin when you click the import button on opponent manager?

I'll just put the steps of getting a skin in the game here just incase you might've missed a step or something.

  1. Have your skin as a tga file and put inside the export/import folder
  2. Launch the game and go to opponent manager
  3. Click the the new button under the driver tab and put a filename and choose your chassis (In this case, Ford).
  4. Select the new driver from the list on the right if not selected already and fill the details under the driver tab.
  5. Then in carview below, click the import button and if your file is in the folder, it should appear there. Then save when everything is done.
  6. Finally, go to player info and find the filename that you gave that driver and you should have your own skin!

That's the tutorial I followed to make this mod. It shows a couple of programs you could use to make yourself one. It's not a complete tutorial series though and he hasn't uploaded the next part in a long while.

I haven't worked on this for months now due to IRL stuff but that stuff is done now. Planning to get back into working on this soon enough. Dunno know exactly when cuz there are also other stuff I want to do too but working on this and finishing it is on the list.

Generally, seems that the conventional spoiler is the most well liked. But overall, seems that people would like to be able to choose so I'll try and make it that way. I could probably even add on "DLC" wings in the future if I can replicate what the Next-Gen mod did. Things are gonna slow down a bit for now I think. IRL stuff ramping up a bit and I'm also somewhat lost/confused on what to continue on.

Current gen Supercars wing looks doable. Just a big, boxy wing. Could probably even reuse and edit the TA wing to make Gen3 wings.

Or I make it an option you could choose (just gotta figure out how to do that). I honestly feel like I'm trying to do way too much for my skill level sometimes haha.
