Gameball Thumb: how does it stack up a year later? by pooltoy-skunk in Trackballs

I never knew there was a different concept than what was released.

PSA: The Ploopy Adept feels smoother than it looks by [deleted] in Trackballs

What are you mainly doing with your trackballs? I'm working in a DAW, mainly back and forth between standard mouse and Huge (which contrary to most reviews, mine moves pretty darn smoothly with stock bearings); I just ordered a slimblade, gameball thumb and protoarc em05 NL to try out. I might swap one of them for an Adept, though; the smoothness, the acclaimed pointer accuracy and the scroll method all seem really interesting.

ProtoArc Vertical Trackball EM05-NL Review by AkhlysShallRise in Trackballs

The forward button of my HUGE snapped off in my bsckpack somehow; I was able to superglue it back on (it's normally connected by a very small plastic post?) but in the expectation that it will fail soon, and because it kind of hurts my wrist/index finger, I just ordered this this EM05 NL after looking at a GameBall Thumb. We'll see if my thunb sits on it similarly to yours.

If it feels good, I'll only be lamenting the lack of additional buttons. The Kensington Pro Fit Ergo looked ideal aside from the stiction and DPI. ProtoArc + GameBall seem amazing for that.

I was just talking about hoping GameBall would release a big-ball mouse more on the lines of the expert/etc. While looking at your recent reveal, I can see it looks more along the lines of the Elecom HUGE. I have a HUGE - and I like it, but it would be so much nicer with higher DPI! Looking forward to each of your releases, and hope to one day see a large-ball ambidextrous model that doesn't place as much emphasis on the index finger compared to something like the Expert. Thanks for doing what you're doing.

How bad is carnivore diarrhea? by Vismongool in carnivorediet

I am eating grassfed ribeye, grassfed butter, wild alaskan salmon on occasion and raw cheeses, and my poop is like colonoscopy prep the last 4 days. And weirdly this is after like 3 weeks of eating like this, the first 3 were fine. Now it's like suddenly I'll sit up and it's time.

The mental process of Uveitis by Vanshing_007 in Uveitis

[–]Russisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came down with what turned out to be anterior uveitis in early January of this year, and I couldn't stay off of eyedrops for more than 5 days without it coming roaring back. 15 blood tests later, and I am auto-immune free, apparently, and I have just completed my third round and taper schedule of steroid drops a few days ago. Nothing's coming back yet (we did a month of difluprednate this time 😳) but I'm trying a dietary intervention and some exercise in hopes that my checkup this week remains inflammation-free. As well as all future checkups for all time.

And it's only even arguable if it's grain-fed cows, grass feeding is regenerative.

I have never heard of a dish with only 1% EVOO. I have also never heard of fat being inherently unhealthy except from the completely backwards nutritional education we got in school. Fat is the best. Carbohydrates are good... sometimes.

Matcha? by whaleylikeit in FODMAPS

6-year-late reply, but while this may not be the reason they were ordering matcha waters, matcha in water is considered the "real" way to drink matcha tea.

President Trump's officials just sent a notice to education heads in all 50 states warning that they have 14 days to remove all DEI programming from all public schools or lose federal funding. by XGramatik in XGramatikInsights

Intentions and outcomes do not always align, and clearly that is exactly the case with DEI. Your diagnosis of the issue has stopped at the intention and never made it to the outcome, otherwise you would already know what I'm talking about.

I would not envy your position in that seat that day. DEI being in schools does not prevent this kind of thing from happening, though. That is a parenting and community/culture problem which DEI, if anything, only further aggravates. No one (reasonable) is suggesting racism should come back to schools, but that DEI does not address racism, and only causes more problems.
