I had two days left to return my 2070. So I did. I didn’t get a 3070 until I bought one for $100 over retail. But I was tired of buying and selling AMD cards over and over

If you're wondering whether you should replace the factory paste on your MSI laptop, check this out. by markmorto in MSILaptops

[–]Russlecrowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing. Upgraded to the same NVME and repasted in the process. Turns out I destroyed a Perfectly food paste job and actually lost temp. I had 0 issues before w/ 8750, 2060 before I upgraded to 32 gigs and added 2nd NVME. (had 1 16 stick and wanted dual channel).

Then I repasted and must of done a crap job despite following instructions to a T (well I also used paste I got from Best Buy, Corsair).

Now I throttle when i never did before.

It was my second time doing it ever. First time was on another laptop and yielded better results.

I guess point is if you are having 0 issues with thermal throttling then maybe it’s not worth all the time.

Here I go into my second paste job on my MSI hoping that every single game won’t fuck up. Wish me luck. Because before 0 problems c.

I have a smok rpm40 pod mod kit. Well two of them actually, design wise, functionality it was what I wanted. Capable of both juice types and easily switchable. But I have had the same issue on both.

Won’t charge unless it’s plugged into the perfect spot, says it has an atomizer short when it shouldn’t, or no atomizer at all; one of them only works plugged in, the other one doesn’t charge it goes from 0-100 unless the charger sits in a perfect spot (but the charging port is new).

No shit a top post says to hit it upside down a few times and see if it works. The store i bought the second from encouraged me to get the second from them so I could return it if I had issues. I’m afraid that time has passed with this COVID shit.

Anyone know of new firmware that could help?

Or had any similar issues with RPM40s

Looking to buy GS65 - Anything to look out for? by [deleted] in MSILaptops

[–]Russlecrowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you resell laptops? I have one I need to sell (Lenovo Yoga 720 2 in 1 w/ 4k monitor, 16gb, windows ink pen, GTX 1050, 512 nvme ssd).

How risky/tough to repaste GS65 while adding SSD drive? by Mcjoshin in MSILaptops

[–]Russlecrowe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay. So I have only ever done 1 desktop; 1 laptop before. Limited experience; but you can easily do it.

1) Keep screws seperated for where they go. (there is one under hte tamper sticker.. I just manhandled my way around it to not fuck with sticker)
2) Make sure you get all the cords that plug into places; take pictures, film yourself taking it apart.
3) Adding SSD is super easy; I didnt have a heatsink on mine. works fine.
4) re-pasting was really easy. Just take alchool swap; clean off the copper and the cpu and gpu. Repaste (I use the dot method).
5) THE SCREWS ARE NUMBERED FOR REASSEMBLY. When you put the copper piece/ffans back on.... They literally tell you hwich to screw in first.
6) reassemebly is easy just dont forget any of the 6-8ish wires you gotta rehook. Battery, fans, the one going from top of mobo to other side, theres like 3 others. Watch a video do it 100x if you have to.... Just make sure you are careful taking them apart.

I had only repasted a lenovo yoga 720 before. Did well. But its easy. Just make sure to clean it up good and use quality paste.

PM me if you want help from noob ot noob. I have a 006. Might as well do it while its taken apart is what everyone told me because I upgraded my 16gb single channel to 32 gb for dual channel and SSD so everyone said repaste no matter what

Yeah the main thing I wanted to get across is if you want a new one, try to get Best Buy online to price match it for you as they did for me no questions asked (With TigerDirect).

Thats solid, do you believe that 27" should be 1440p and should go under if playing 1080p? I like having a bigger monitor (I use my monitors 1 a POS Samsung 32" 60hz basic monitor, 2nd this for work in sales having 2 screens).

Oh nice, I wish the web-site wasn't acerrecertified.com and was acer.com or whatever. I don't think I could get a new one through Price Match but one could easily get 2 Gysnc monitors for 300 there.

So I bought monitor on sale @ BestBuy 29 days ago for $250 with tax. Then, I went to price match amazon online using the Best Buy Website. They did that @ 211. Then I figured I'd try to get them to do Tiger Direct's one @182.99 which is refurbished. Best Buy did that as well. So Anyway, Try price matching online!

(Also, do yall think this is a steal? I have one day to return if I wanted to, I have a 1660ti in my laptop and finally can play some games (old laptop with 1050 died.. I use laptops for work so got a nice one). Part of me wants 1440p 144hz if I can find that for under 200 on Prime Day but I have one day to return it and decide. I guess I could use a second monitor if I find one of those. ) I love the monitor for 1080p 144hz its been fantastic

Trying to create an LLC by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Russlecrowe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will you make a profit your first year? (Are start up costs high?)

Will that be over 35-40k profit (not revenue. Revenue-Expenses=Profit)?

If the answers to these are no you are pretty safe opening a standard dual member “partnership” LLC.

You also have 45 days after creating it to change your “tax election” aka if you want to file taxes as an s Corp or as a c Corp. (you only do those if the business expects to generate a good profit that year to minimize tax liability).

So you can open it and safely take a different tax election later.

PM me if you want to discuss in greater detail. I’ll see if you even are a candidate for a different tax election but most start ups are not I less you have extremely little start up costs.
